HOF of the Month

Welcome fellow Entropians, to the return of HOF of the Month! As I'm sure you are aware, much feverish brainstorming and many hours of toil were required in order to come up with the name "HOF of the Month," and I'm sure you'll agree it's a name close to sheer perfection. Although, this month's competition is not won by a HOF but by some globals, so that's a bit of a blow. And, it's kind of a bi-monthly competition now, so that's a bit of a blow too, but of course, it's still a
great name!
The last winner of HOF of the Month was Frigid for a pretty spectacular HOF from a Trooper. It took an Angel helmet, a full ESI and no small amount of residue to win Frigid his title of HOF of the Month Champion. Would he be back to defend his title? Or could someone else do better this time round?
We asked our independent judging panel, still comprising of Jimmy B, Jimmy B and Jimmy B, to take a look at your new entries into the
Hall Of Fame forums in order to find out the answers. As usual, any entry was a potential winner - the judges were looking for something a little unusual, so nice items, or impressive achievements count for just as much as big HOFs. If you
still haven't won, then try harder next time! HOF of the Month should be returning around Easter, so get looting and get posting, with the new loot distribution recently it could be an interesting competition!
The results of the December 2006 and January 2007 HOF of the Month competition are presented below.
The decision of the judges is still final and no correspondence will be entered into. And no, you can't have cookies instead of EFD.
First place and some serious gratzing goes to MrSmith. Now it's pretty
rare to see some Supremacy in your loot, but in the last two months, MrSmith has managed to find it twice! He wins HOF of the Month for
this Supremacy Harness looted from a Second Entity and
these Supremacy Thigh-Guards looted from a Kingfisher.
PE Auction doesn't even know Thigh-Guards (F) exist, but it estimates the value of the Harness at over 11,000 PED.
Second place goes to Akbar for his
achievement of being the first known avatar to achieve a level of 2000 in the Sweat Gathering skill. Man, that's a lot of sweating! Akbar receives 7500 EFD for his services to the sweating industry.
Third place goes to Etopia who narrowly beat Skam and Lykke in the race to a staggering 10000
EF Rep and the title of
Great Master! Mind you,
this 12,667 PED Chili Sombrero wasn't bad either!
Fourth place: Well, a 35,834 PED HOF is always pretty sweet but stick some Shadow armour in there too and you're pretty much booking yourself a spot on HOF of the Month!
Congratulations go to Dreicc for
this rather nice ATH from a Kreltin carrying quite a remarkable amount of Animal Oil!
Fifth place: Well, I don't know what to say about Mia. She is like the Queen of the HOFs. In the space of little more than two months Mia has found uber HOFs whilst hunting, uber HOFs whilst mining, uber HOFs whilst crafting, and not just once! You can find Mia's HOFs
here. And
here. And
here and
here! And
here,
here,
here and
here!
Sixth Place: dub becomes the first person to appear in HOF of the Month in consecutive competitions with
this 41k Durulium ATH. Not quite as remarkable as the Rugaritz one but still not to be sniffed at!
Also rans: Seventh place goes to maxwellhawk who found a
Warrior carrying a full tt ESI. That's some serious markup!
Eighth place goes to Zap for his
achievement of getting the much-loved
Zap's Loot Table into the first page of hits from googling "Entropia Universe." It's currently listed as the fifth hit behind the official
MA sites, wiki and
EF.
Sneaking into ninth place is kel, officially for a nice binary find
here but also for the remarkable achievement of finding
these two mining ubers within 75 seconds of each other!
And finally: There were quite a few people recently announcing the third anniversary of their first login to
EU. MindBuster and Commodore could go one further, both announcing the beginning of their fifth years in
EU. However, Aquarius society take tenth place for their
celebration of their society's three years in
EU, documented
here.
Bit of a blunder by the judges here who didn't notice this prize goes to someone who's already made an entry in this HOF of the Month competition! Akbar, who is not a relative nor an acquaintance of Jimmy B,
honest, collects another 1000 EFD for his society.
