No, it's a 3D demo. As in something developers do to show off their skills and technologies.
The cool thing about this one, is that they fit all those textures, all those constructs, the scenes contents, text, motion, effects... AND a 3D engine, in just
177Kb of data. For an average programmer, it would take maybe 50-100mb to do it...
I mean, consider
EU's engine, it's 20mb in size if we take in all the binary files needed to run the game. And then, it needs 2gb of data to show pretty stuff ingame.
However, a game (Spore) is scheduled to appear, being based on the minimalistic binary approach, and online community and serving.
