Alright, heres what I think about all the points made in this VU.
The mining thing with bombs automatically detonating, may not be so good if you accidentally place a bomb. Or if you place one but decide a moment later to place it somewhere else.
I LIKE the idea of using residue to boost successful products condition, it sure as hell beats TT'ing it, and I'm glad that it only gets used up when there is a success and not on failures too.
The BP's in book not counting towards item count is good too, as I recently had to dump my entire bp collection into storage because my item count was constantly over 60
Not quite sure what to make of the message centre thing. Ability to store received messages while offline? Expanded FL? Interested to see this.
Items with limited uses eh.... or to the layman, perma-decay. At least this has not been applied to all items, and has been applied to special items which, fingers crossed will have stats worthy of the fact they will eventually break for good.
Learning bonus - I'm a bit unsure what this means. Does this mean that the weapons introduced in vu 7.6 will have these stats? Or does it mean that any weapon, looted or crafted in vu 7.6 will have these stats? If its the latter then I'm disappointed that I won't be able to assess my ability to use any of the weapons, because they are already so common ingame.
Skill influence damage - No need for testing anymore, nice of
MA to show some transparency for once.
Unsafe zones changes - Disappointed slightly here, since TI is now PVP-Free there will be no more Capture the Mansion tournament, and I had been looking forward to that
Statistics on items - Reload rates? Accurate decay figures? That should help clear up all those dodgy charts
New advanced items in manufacturing - Oooooh yeah, gonna go get my Jester d-1 from apartment and have it reworked and customised, gonna upgrade it to a 230 damage, 180 range, 0.6 reload rifle.... WOOTASH!
Display panels added - YES, can finally hang my sword on the wall instead of having it on the floor.... WOOHOO!
Wedding items - Before you ask, I'm single, and happy being that way.
Condition limit change - Pretty sweet, longer hunts before repair. nice
Creature sweat levels - No more greedy whinging noobies! YAY!
Fixed bugged items - About time
MA re-balanced this weapon. it sucks that the most economic rifle is 35k, yet the axe had much more economy and was TT+1. I don't think people can complain, they had it good while it lasted now its back to reality.
General items added - Variety is the spice of life
Man I gotta say, I'm impressed. A lot of things here I'm really looking forward to more than any VU perhaps, of course there will always be some niggles... but I am not anticipating being frustrated by this stuff, as I was when I read the skill system change.... lets hope this rocks as much as I think it will.
