Taking that question a little literally, I decided to putter around Google trying to see if there is any meaning behind the name Janus.
On Wikipedia I found the statement:
Quote:

Janus was the god of gates, doors, doorways, beginnings, and endings
|
Which got me thinking:
Janus JD D'Arcwire = The gateway of D'Arcwire.
Googling D'Arcwire was a waste of time, so I tried "Arcwire" instead. Apparently, Arcwire is a newsletter for the
Arc Advisory Group, a consultancy company that advises some big name companies about investment opportunities and business acquisitions. Some of those companies are big name financial institutions, which include Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and UBS.
This may be a complete wild goose chase, but it is interesting that the avatar's name is linked to so many companies that have their own banking licenses. Perhaps Janus JD D'Arcwire is not the new bank owner, but the consultant the Bank employed to bid for the license. If on the off-chance that Janus failed in the acquisition, the real bank remains completely anonymous and free of the embarrassment of losing to a bunch of computer gamers.
Well, even if it turns out to be a load of rubbish, it was an amusing story.
