All I can say is some of you must lead a sheltered life.
I found it neither shocking nor humorous.
Degrading to females, possibly, but only because of the title.
ON a side note.
I am annoyed just as often by ignorant males as females who don't know when to quiet down.
I have gone as far as to pick up the 'quiet area', or 'no phone use' sign and carry it over to where they are sitting, and utter a low growl. They usually get the message then. If not, this may be the next option when they don't.
