Welcome to the
Beauty of Calypso’s Nature and Wildlife Contest! This contest is a tribute to the wonderful and unique nature and wildlife on Calypso which we all can enjoy when hunting, mining, TP running or any other of the manifold activities in the environment of our planet.
Anyone can participate, no matter if noob or Uber, no matter how skilled you are, let yourself embrace from the Beauty of Calypso! Take a picture (screenshot without crosshair, quickbar, HUD) and save unique moods, moments or views on Calypso for our community.
The contest consists of
two categories: Calypso’s Nature and Calypso’s Wildlife. In both of the categories no colonists should appear, as well as no buildings or any other sign of human existence.
In
Calypso’s Nature the pure flora should be presented. Lovely dawns, spectacular mountains, breathtaking plants or beautiful flowers, everything is possible. In this first category, any kind of animal life should not be shown.
The focus in the second category is
Calypso’s Wildlife. The fauna of Calypso is large, exciting and sometimes scary. Show us a herd of Atroxes on the prowl, a pair of Gibnibs chirping in the green grass, a lonely Cornundacauda waiting for his beloved fellow. Robots or humanoid life forms like Umbranoids should not be shown.
The prizes
Winnings will be awarded in each category as follows:
1st price:
3,000 EFD
2nd price:
2,000 EFD
3rd price:
1,000 EFD
Between all participants who did not achieve a price a special reward of
1,000 EFD will be drawn after the votings.
The Rules
Each participant may enter the contest with
two contributions for each category. The contributions should not have been published already, no matter if
EF or anywhere else. The contributions have to be sent to
birdshome@gmx.net. Please state your
EF nickname and the category for the specific picture you are sending. I will post the contributions into the thread without revealing the name of the participant. Please sent jpgs not larger than 262 kb.
If you have already sent in pictures, but you discover a location so beautiful or animals so exciting and you want to send these in now, this is possible.
At the end, each participant is only allowed to have two contributions for each category, as already stated, so please just make sure to clarify, which pictures become void and which are finally entering the contest.
The contest runs until
Friday, 6th July 23:00 MA time. Two polls with all contributions will be posted for the community to vote the winners within one week. Then the special reward will be drawn and the winners are announced on
EF.
