You bring up an interesting point here.

Mindark didn't ruin themselves... they just made hunting a very boring, expensive grind.

I know some folks that have killed without exageration over 50.000 ambulimax and the best item they got was an ESI out of them...

There is a line between "challenge" and "nearly impossible".

Most players like a challenge, but only a few are into the "nearly impossible"... And that is something MA doesn't seem to understand.

Instead of playing the game for the right reasons, some players have gone from playing for enjoyment to playing out of desperation to get something good.

While this may make cash in the short term, it doesn't really motivate a player to stay ingame. Whats the point of playing and competing with old gamers when they have all the advantage in skills, got those magnificent loots, and took the time to dominate economy?

In RL i don't have money issues, i usually buy what i want. But in EU, i feel poor. Really. Everything is so expensive, its a huge turnoff.

Mindark now has over 700K accounts. True. But cities feel more empty then ever. Maybe there are a couple of reasons to this... And one of them IMO is the rewards themselves.

At that time, uber just meant he was a dedicated player that hunted alot. At those days, his top gear costed as much as your medium gear today.

There are also other loot windows that i didn't put up, from players that weren't that "uber".

They just hunted alot, like some do nowadays, with the difference that then, loots like these would drop.

I'm not going to post my best loots from 8-legged animals back from the days they still looted stuff, some might become jelaous =) and there wasn't tens of good items anyway, only some, so let's just leave it there...

but I'm very curious to see how long people will be ok with current loot. will they continue getting tt stuff and crappy L which doesn't last for long, what is the point really? imagine the time when a major part of hunters say - enough, we will not hunt until items are back in loot. wouldn't that be fun

I'm afraid that EU is loosing it's momentum.
It has been slowing down conciderably over the years and if nothing drasticly happens verry soon it might loose it's speed completly and come
to a grinding halt.

I can only hope that CE2 will be that savior that
so many loyal participants are hoping and longing for, and that it will revitalize this universe and be the vitamin injection that it so desperatly needs.
At present time EU is a verry dull place.

If i were to make a wish it would be for MA
to stop wasting time on pointless eggs and orbs
and focus their efforts into strengthening the roots
from where this universe once came from.
I'd say "Back to basics" and let the fun back in.

Now, i'm sure that MA have their devine plan
all worked out and the roadmap all set as to
where they want to bring this Entropian Universe.
As usual we can only wait and see.
I can only hope that this downward spiral changes direction soon cuz i'm nearly at the end of my rope...
..and wallet.

So for loot, even if it's a simple Cosy candle or whetever, it's more fun cuz it's something you can actually use instead of just food for the TT.

I already reduced my hunting time considerably.

I only hunt in WoF, and when my friends ask me for a team slaughter.

Otherwise, hunting is pretty boring and expensive, even with the right weapons.

yeah, same here basically. I do some hunting but not nearly as hardcore as I used to - enough for me already. =)

I decided to reduce hunting sessions too, Its enough, I cant take anymore...I will do other things and gather peds until I will quit or MA lock my account or I will have enough to buy a Land.

Mayby make a thread and everybody who decided to stop hunting/reduce hunting session time...will write a post...BUT ONLY 1 POST...only 1 post/person.

one thing i note is the value of the HoFs involved. today even 20k ATH is just oils. that sort of shows something is wrong.

thats one theory. but for me it doesnt follow since many of these items are not very economical even when you are maxed. DOA are 4.0x eco, Adj V1, Camo, are below 4.0. And why then start dropping a new range of super eco unL SIB weapons that only need you to have lvl30 odd skills? i think the skill nerfs solved this. no, the only logical conclusion is that they want to foster and encourage the high item prices.

people keep saying this, but surely some of the loots would be public? if not directly, infered by someone selling somthing. i dont beleive that many people would be so quiet about good loots, maybe not advertise or be specific, but not a wall of silence. when the MM dropped it was known everywhere, same with the mod117 drop in vu8. when someone looted a adj fap it was publisised on the LA custom message. everyone is quick enough to shout about HL8, CB19, X5, T15, Jag(L), Isis BL1300 (L) or even just a big ESI when they loot. but they'll keep silent about a DOA Loudmouth? i dont think so, but i'd love to be proved wrong.

I know 2 uber finds...angel foot-guards and shadow foot-guards not so long ago, yes I know foot guards are brand new...but still, they continue to drop.
And this proves nothing at all

Not every player like Forum, not every players like community, NOT EVERY PLAYER LIKE TO POST A PICTURE and PRISE that he get an uber item, this is important.
