But, what you said is another good point... If I have 2 new employees in my grpahics department, I'm going to give them a small project to check their abilities, and make them comfortable working with my tools. Like you said, get them up to speed.

mob changes are lame yes some increases AI would be much better but considering how crap mob AI is currently I'd rather they simply added 100% hp on a mob than fuck with its AI - CP is a joke mobs dont stay tagged - I tag a mob and keep shooting it until <30% until it came to me! The VU is good cuz the new design guy did train on something that was working and look shit now ...
They could have turn all the freshly made panel back to the black color , evryone did love when the new inventory came and was black , not they all are blue crapy , beside the skill that are an other black system ...

and good because they managed to change hp on 3 mobs and have touch on the soo bugged AI that piss us since 3 year , because , since they dont touch , it does not get worse...

seeing the things like you , the best VU is when they dont anounce VU ?

really , i dont carre what they change in VU , clothe , weapon , mobs , panel , what ever... they do it how they think its the best... fine with me ... its not easy to make all player happy , that for sure....
but at least , they could change stuff a "logic" or "normal" way...
new panel , fine go for it , but make them all that seems to come from same game....
evry panel look coming from a diferent game...
Design team need learn , fine , make them write the fucking list of LAND in the MAP ....
after 3 year they havent done it... and it did take 1 year and many suport case for they to get the idea to name TP ...

Im agreeing with Kygon for the most part.. compared to the rubberband vu, this one shines.

What Mindark should have done however is be more detailed about the mob changes. If they would have told us, loot would be adjusted accordingly.. I would not have anything to complain about. The lack of a statement about this is I think why there's so much complaining.

Same goes for the mentoring system.. They could have told in more details what the changes were.. instead of mentioning it,in one line of text.

I can understand the secrecy.. and we do like to find stuff out ourselves.. but lately with all the nerfs, more detailed information from Mindark and their motives would be handy.. and I think when we spend gazillions of peds into this universe we would have the right for more detailed info.

I like the VU in general.

The mob change is good although I would liked some more AI of the mobs. Attacking in group, attack triggered by a mining bomb etc..

Yes I also think it's a shame they put effort in the remake of the skill window, but maybe they worked out a template window type for all property and settings windows when cryengine comes in.

There are some little bugs they need to correct:

-You cannot stack items in a storage box anymore. (Need to take em out in inventory, stack there and put em back in storage box.

-When placing an item between 2 unrefined wool in you storage when the wool is at the side and on top of each other, and there are one or two slots open between it , you place an item between it , EU hangs.

-And I have a couple of times the refiner bug again from a couple of VU's ago.

-As well as looted ammo is not always stacked in your inventory you open inventory and you have a bunch of 3 and 4 ammo stacks laying around making your items go up. (And when stacking it can take very long)

But I see those as minor bugs as well as the increase of lagg sometimes will be solved with some mini-updates soon.

All and all, one of the better VU's implemented so far.

Considering the past version updates I experienced so far (and being a developer, i know what can be done), these two sentences are EXACTLY what I think about MA's update strategy.

Sorry, I really believe they are trying hard, but the whole process should be rethought. They mess it up far too often.
