how do you get out of your rut?

this is not a negitive post about EU i like the game just thought i should say that

with this latest VU like most other VU's i feel all the skills ive gianed have gotten me no where. some mobs got alittle to a lot harder and loot well loot cant get much worse. so normally to get out of my rut i go hunting and get a global and i feel alittle better. but since this VU i deposited bought me a geotrek al15 thats my SIB gun atm about to max it out and went hunting looking for that global. let me state that ive only hit about 8 globals in the 1 year ive been playing EU biggest being 110 ped and trust me im a weekly depoer but that does not get me down becuase i know when i get higher lvl i will get those big globals. but i just broke my al15 and no global it took me about $200 in ammo to brake it and without that global im still in a rut. is it really to much to ask for a 50 ped global has loot gotten that bad i mean its not like im going to cash out so why is MA so greedy with the loot well thats unfair a few ppl do global like mad you know who they are they get 10 globals and hofs in a row while the rest of us just feel bad so $30 gun broke $200 in ammo gone and no global at what lvl do i have to be to get a few globals for god sake anyways now that ive blown off alittle steam to the question what do you do to get out of a rut becuase my way just broke me lol and i need a new way

By the time I post this there will likely be several people giving you the same advice. ... but here goes.

It depends on the mob you hunt. If you hunt daikibas and exorasaurs, you'd be luck to global in $1000 ammo. And by the way, did you mean $ or PED?

If you try some drones for example, and take 500 PED ammo out, I can tell you you will almost certainly get 1 or more globals. I usually get 1-3 globals in 400 PED ammo.

If you are just looking to hit a global and see swirls and hear trumpets, get a team together and hunt something big, like Hogglos or ambulimax. Always swirls there. No profits, but your bound to global.

Argo are okay, exa eh so so. But go for the often globaling mobs like argo. Faucervix, caudatergus and the like I really never expect to global from. I have`nt hunted them in ages but that`s just my impression. If that does`nt work go mining or even try a bit of crafting if you can afford it. You never know where your next global or gravy train is. But at times like this you can be sure it`s where your not. Good luck and may that global or hof come for you sooner rather than later.

You should never go global hunting. You should never 'expect' a global or a hof.

It is far, far better to hunt either for fun - or for efficiency - and if the global happens - then that's a bonus.

Also, a 'global' really means nothing. Imagine you are hunting Dakibia youngs and you get a 30 PED loot. That's an awesome loot when you consider the average loot for that mob. But it's not a global.

Now imagine you are hunting Spiders and you get a 50 PED global every 30 mobs. Are you profiting? How much does it cost to kill 30 mobs?

Don't focus on the global brother. You'll end up frustrated.
