the Question is
Would you have Tried EU If it Required a Credit Card to Download and Play, or Setup an Account? the reason in this thread it to attempt to stop Scammers

Simple yes or no answer. post reason if u want.

1) Don't have a credit card (yet? :silly2).
2) I don't really trust games/sites I don't know with something like that.
3) Would be suspicious as to WHY you would NEED it.

I agree with u nighthawk 100% I dont trust em either. Same deal with the CC for me.

noup I don't have a CC and I wouldn't bother to download it if it was needed..

I would not have tried EU if I was required to provide a CC. The thing that drew me in to EU was that it freee to try and play, and that I could spend what I wanted, when I wanted. EU would lose alot of potential new players if they required a CC to create an account.

I voted yes - I would feel more secure if every account was required to have some sort of RL link to our finances.
It would probably make people think twice about scamming someone for 50 ped.

Also - if you're an adult - you should have some sort of debit / credit card. Welcome to 2008

+ it's not like they can charge you for something without your knowledge or permission.

anything that claims to be free then asks for a credit card... wouldnt touch it.

Im racking my brains for an example of something else that does this that i havent signed up to for exatly this reason. the reason of proving age is utter rubbish, as discussed it could be parents card, stolen card, generated card number, or top up credit card.

you reckon? i think they could, they'd be shut off by the CC authority pretty quick, but it'll be too late for you by then.

In that case - I'm glad I don't use your bank.

Mine has overdraft protection, identity theft prevention, and also has fraudulent chargeback program - which will give me back any fraudulent charges that I didn't make.

Besides .. they have my CC# anyway - I'm pretty damn sure I trust Mindark not to charge me for shit I don't ask for.
