To me, this was the most interesting line in the whole post. I don't think anyone will deny the fact that most of the basic "game" aspects of Entropia is a game of chance. A lot of people are playing simply to hit that big loot or claim. And while it is POSSIBLE to profit in this game, it's also just as possible to lose in the sense that you don't always get equal return from what you put in. Save the arguments about how you view the way you spend your money for another thread. EU simply wouldn't function if you ALWAYS got back more than what you put in.

However, what I find interesting is that this is still threatening SL even after they've supposedly removed their games of chance (I have no idea what those were as I never bothered to get involved in that universe). This could greatly affect EU's future expansion into the relatively untapped US market.

I'm curious to hear Mindark's position on this, and if they have any plans/ideas set in place should this bill not pass. If it becomes extremely difficult for US citizens to deposit money, they may be forced to change the entire economic system in EU if they want to have a presence in the US.

But I don't think any of our votes are going to have a say in this. It sounds as though they are trying to get this going before the Bush Administration leaves office. And if it does happen to get pushed passed January, it may be difficult to get any of the current candidates to express their views on this as it's not really a hot button issue in the current political climate...

do u not get ukash in usa? no need for bank with that u pay cash , withdrawing still wouldnt be allowed perhaps, but u could go abroard and withdraw, or make v good friends with someone who lives outside usa who sells sweat for lots of peds then sends u a paypall gift..(im just throwng ideas here) obviously not ideal situation, but could work. If this does end up worse case scenario i think there will be much withdrawing soon.
