Calypso seperated from new planets?

Hi all.

We have known for some time, that there will be new planets added to EU. We knot this will be BIG, we just do not know the details.

To my mind the most important detail is will the planets of EU be connected in some way - thus will it be possible to travel somehow between the planets and will they share the same player base and economy. This very important to those that have been playing EU for several years and especially those that have been investing into EU. I imagine bank license owners would not like to find out Calypso was just a 5 year long beta test of the new game.

I created this thread so we all could share our opinions and expectations for this topic, as it is truly important. We all understand that the consequences of seperating Calypso from other planets will eventually not be good for current players of EU - though I am not afraid to admit that it would probably be good for those players that will join to play on new planets.

I have also added a poll to see what is general public opinion about this matter, but I would like to raise a healthy discussion here. Which way do you think is better and why, which way do you think MA will pursue and why?

As to my knowledge MA has not provided any announcement upon this subject - in fact we do not know almost anything about these new planets.

We have been told enough for long enough. I have threads that pre-date Marco's promotion on this board - it seems self interest invokes some sort of blindness.

Up side is that the license money from other platforms will allow MA to support the original for some time...bad PR otherwise.

Yes. You will choose your destination/platform at login. Platforms will be distinct (see Marcos confession) - the concept demands it.

Might I suggest it is going to be another planet like CND but with the ability to build like Real Life.


If thats the case then great as long as the format of the planet is not like real life. Prefer the graphics here and the growth of future business

Space travels should be there as a part of game, but not as idiotic as now. On the other hand its convinient to log on exact planet.
