Exclamation Trapped mobs - on flat ground

I beleive they improved the AI of mobs a little too much...

I'm hunting warriors and drones at the moment, to get some dodge. And now these bloody mobs, on almost flat ground gets trapped...

Thats like, its a little bit increase in hight, I stand on top and hit like 0.01 degree down, and the mob is trapped.

Thats a little bit to overdo it MindArk..

I agree... there's anti-trapping AI and then MA's version.... Anti-Hunting AI.

I have filed a support case about this... specifically Cersumon as they are exactly the same as bots.... It's hard enough to get Warriors now with a low-end rifle (is ok with the big boys as you drop 'em before they stop moving ) ... dread to think what it's like Melee

Is the same if you're downhill too... they just messed up range attack mobs in general I think

I get it all the time with feffoids. They were stood right next to me, whacking me fine, I turn and get 3 good shots on it, then all of a sudden....

The creature is not in a condition where it can be damaged!

WTF, it didn't move!

Surely, if a mob can't hit you yet it is being hit and the mob is not moving from a point, then that's when it should be 'trapped'?

And where it can't hit you should not be confused with the fact that an avatar has evaded every hit from it.

And rather than this über ghey message and not being able to damamge a mob, surely it would be better for the AI script to then make the mob run and attack the player from a different angle?

i get that all the time aswell. basicly 50-70% of all warriors and troopers get trapped on flat ground (1on1, no other mobs nearby), even when standing still right in front of me. extremly annoying and not to mention expensive.
once i tried running around to get it released, it followed me for about 5 minutes before i gave up and logged off.

I 'think' the problem might be linked to evade. It's just a guess. But if a mob acts like a n00b against you and misses every hit, and then you start whacking it, it makes the engine think it's trapped. Surely the system should register that they were legitimate misses? Of course I could be way off with this.

go Scylla , very little to N-E from TP. there is something like a box , container. start to sweat an Exarosaur or Snablesnot , then run around that container, untill the container is between you and the mob. then you can sweat. who said MA improved the anti-trapping system ?! you know, in order to improve someone else's AI,one needs some for himself tho....

dont do it, you could be locked. ofc you could try it at a dark night time tho... or in a weekend
