I've made a new version (1.3) which also scans professions and generates a file that can be uploaded to pe-wiki.

MrProper reminded me that there are ways to attack md5, so I decided also to publish the sha1 checksum. They are on the download page, but a hacker who could hack my account and replace the image could of course also replace the sums, so I am posting them here as well.

Added information about checking the MD5 and/or SHA1 hashes of the downloads on the OP too
Any suggestions about free checksum tools to suggest? (mainly for SHA1, MD5 is quite widespread :P)

I used the top one (ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/gcrypt/binary/sha1sum.exe)
(and checked it on a few checksums from other places).

Of course if you are extremely paranoid, you'd want to go for another one...

vu 8.12 uses a different font and broke the scanner.
I'll fix things but this is going to take a little time.

any news? im chipping out and i need to update to see where i am. NRF is my mortal enemy and even if it wasn't, i love the interface with EU (even in windowed mode!), just 15 clicks and im done!

I'm doing my best but MA really nerfed things in such a way that it is very hard to come up with a good solution.

What happens is that the new fonts are smoothened and softened. This means that pixels in corners that used to be background color now suddenly have become inbetween background and foreground. This really breaks the scanner, and it might be that I need to go go a completely new scanner. Not something that is solved in an hour or so. Still thinking on how to tackle this, but I guess it will take a fair amount of time.

The odd thing is that I discovered that the fonts were smoothened on my PC (even though I tweaked the settings that it should not be). However on my laptop the font was not smoothened. Wish I could tell people how to go for unsmoothed fonts.

If anyone reads this and has ideas, they are more than welcome.

PS: if you are in a rush: not sure if NRF will work. Otherwise I fear it will be the old manual work.
