I ran the app, but haven't actually tried creating any stats file just yet. The only references I saw were to PEStats and .dat files. I'll try running it tonight for some better understanding.

Tried it, doesnt work. Tried NRF to but thats a total mess, error message flying around and no result..

oh, is that because of a VU? i thought that was normal to me (it worked for other people while my computer got nothing but error messages lol).

fingers crossed for EU Companion though, you can't get better user interface at all.

Someone at !!!!!!!!.com tried the win2k compatibility and for him (her?) it worked. Just tried myself but although the image looks ok, for me it also does not work. Don't have the sources of 1.3 handy to debug.

Anyway got some positive feedback from the alpha testers on the latest version so I'll probably be able to release soon.

Found some time to investigate some more.
1.2 and 1.3 do not work even in win2k compatiblity.
1.1 does work with win2k compatibility!

The root cause why 1.2 and 1.3 do not work is known, but as 2.0 will be out real soon and I am fairly time constrained today, there will probably not be a fixed 1.3

I have tried the skills-parsing function in an XP box with the new fonts, and it worked like a charm.

You missed it. It was added in 1.3.
EU Companion will generate an xml file with both skills and professions which then can be uploaded to pe-wiki, which in turn will give you access to personalised stats in the wiki.
