EU Companion

I recently d/l'd EU Companion to capture my skill levels and I have tried and tried, tried, tried and tried a few more times to get it to work with no luck as of yet. Its installed fine... I take my captures... but it gives me a failure sound everytime... not sure what I am doing wrong - one time I tried it, it just made the camera sound (withouth the failure sound) and when I got finished taking all the captures I noticed that it still had 0/0 and had not processed any of the pics Not sure what to try next except maybe a different program?

Are you using the capturing from EU Companion?
What are the video related settings in the options screen of the EU client loader?
I recommend using the default settings.
Are you running XP?

Note that jpg's will probably not work.
Also 16 bit color (as opposed to 32 bit) is known not to work (this is in the options screen).

Please provide some more info. With the info you are giving it is impossible to debug or analyse your problem. Also feel free to email me.

First of all, thanks for this great tool
Now I have an issue both with grabbing and with using BMPs:
Professions are always parsed just fine, Skill pages are not, no matter what I try (tried all tips in this thread including the reboot). Running on XP, Windowed mode, standard resolution (1024x768), played with the other settings. Any idea what this strange behavior is caused by? The only thing I have not tried is turning AA on (this causes my system to be quite unstable).

Ok, let's start with a basic info: did you moved the Skill window from its original position?
What are your other settings (from the ClientLoader's Option dialogue)?

I tried out EU Companion and it worked for both skills and professions this VU. However, i had to turn off w2k compatibility mode (which has to be enabled for NRF to work). As i actually prefer the fonts with the w2k compatibility mode enabled (ie the way they used to be) (and for other reasons), i use NRF. Both do a great job, though. Companion actually is much faster at capturing.

If you prefer the w2k compatibility mode you can still use the 1.4 version.
I can see if I can get the two variants merged in the next release. But let's first see if MA does not break things with 9.0

Please do try the suggestions from Paolo.
If they do not work, then please send me a bmp or png screenshot (not a jpg or a jpg transcoded to png or bmp, their quality is just not good enough).

Also do you get an error message? If so, which one?

iirc there's a check box in EUC to work with w2k no NRF will work as well. I checked it so NRF would work and haven't had any problems.
