Well Space Pirates' is an event, so it starts and stops when people have won.

It also seems to be a way of promoting the opening of new planets, and a great $5, million advertising enticment. to get into the real world, there is also some stuff about MA selling shares (promotion)

New vehicles, new items = New Spaceship parts to make new spaceships - Tools and items i think will be Ship weapons & Space suits.

Events often, often have a purpose:

• RL promotion
• Cash generating
• In game promotion
• Tax revenue for land owners
• Expanding the player base

Prizes.......

$5 million thats quite alot $50 million peds - so the prizes have got to be land areas be them on CND or other asteriods - even more smaller asteriods worth say 1 million ped or $..

Items will be rare and expensive, so its not open to everyone, maybe you can loot a part or a hanger deed, but there not gonna give away $5 mill with out it generating $10 of income, Well I wouldn't, that would be stupid.

So the prizes are virtually worth $5 mill - you dont win $5 million, but there worth that amount,, no cash exchanged...

Pirates surrgest, some part of it will be PVp - maybe like the land grabs, your ships gonna have to fight to win the asteroid, or fighting on the surface.

Is the event gonna be made into a film, thus generating the $5 mil, and MA are getting paid, or the income generated will off set any payment.

Arr clues.... well there is a massive clue, sitting in the middle of the CND shopping arena - have a look, i wont say what it is, more fun to go see for your self.

There is also an old map of the solar system on entropiadirectory.com - I remember asking JD to add it, as it seemed hard to find a few years ago.

So, this is what I think will happen:

• New Space ships need to be made
• Tools such as Space suits need to be made
• Other space related tools need to be made
  
• CND will be a Hub for the event
• Land areas on CND asteroid will be up for grabs
• Other ateroids will be up for grabs
  
• Asteriods will function like land areas, people come there & it's taxed, however these land Areas you will have to fly too.
  
• Flying to them is expensive (OIL) and it may also result in your ship not making it or getting damaged, thus more parts needed or decay pushing the cost of the travel up.

Humm a strange thing in my post the letter MA & CND have a word pop up when you hover the mouse over them, no other words get this, have a look...

ND himself has commented that $5million is his estimation of the market value of "prizes".
