Interplanetary Travel and Space Pirates?

MA have stated that they would like to see EU serve as a platform for other developers to utilise. I guess using the existing format/storylines. Thats what this sounds like to me anyway

It seems MA's spoke-persons live in the past.

They already proposed EU (and probably signed a contract) to other developers.
Hundreds of planets are being developed as well as a new flight system.
China is having it's own planet.
The game will expand beyond CND.
CryEngine2 is definitely going to be used beyond avatar beauty.

Or so my excited brain tells me.

Is this available to everyone, or is this some special arrangement like the ability to be "born" on CND if you follow the special download link from Neverdie's site?

I think it will be just like the second option.
You are born in CND and MA gives you a clue about the treasure...
...once Space Pirates are implemented that is!

I know in days of yore that the client software from Neverdies site would spawn you on CND... something that IMO would be a disservice to noobs since there is little in the way of easily located mobs of appropriate level, formal or casual mentors, Entropia Guides, etc etc etc.

Not sure if this is still in place of if all noobs spawn dirtside these days.

I agree.
Plus, CND isn't as big and interesting as Calypso itself.
Where else will you find enourmous museums and cozy villages near a lighthouse, or even, a huge abandoned city?

But then look at the news articles in the scrolling section at the bottom of this popup - the most recent is dated 30 November 2005.

Rather strange to have such old news articles on a new site?!

The fact that MA is opening other planets makes me wonder what ND gets out of these other planets. This simply could be his marketing method to attract new players to CND. If CND is not the connection point to the other planets I see much of his business dropping.

[Conspiracy Theorist Hat On] Could MA be eliminating character origination on Calypso? Could it be changed that all characters will originate on CND and need to travel to the planet of their choosing? Only time will tell...[Conspiracy Theorist Hat Off]
