For the record all is good for me since this change re: my thread re: bandwidth squeezed. Yes i might get the odd loads-for-a-minute.... but it *does* load, rather than hanging.

I believe not. The EF Adspace banners do not run on the same database server as the forum database, and in fact are replaced by static banners when the forum gets extremely busy (to improve performance).
