We have a great community here, why do people not want to 'ruin' their reputation by saying whats on their minds?

Makes no sense to me.

The community is not that huge in fact, quite huge, but not massively huge, especialy the people that regular EF.

Sometimes, I can put names to 2nd accounters, simply by the way they write.
Same as when the same old 'drone' comes up to me in EU and askes me if I am selling my Angel.

I'm probably one of the more tedious persons for MA on this Forum, still I argue because I sincerely love this game and I want it to grow even better! I've been a loyal player since 2003, but I do claim the right to say what I want, and I do claim the right to use satire and humor in order to make valid points - even if it goes against MA's will of the day.
The funny thing is that I received a gift box from MA, with all kinds of nice gifts, including an Entropia Ambassador pin...
I think the bottom line is, no one likes a butt licker, no one likes a coward, no one trust a person who don't dare to stand up for his or hers ideas and ideals. But I believe, that even if MA don't agree with all that is said on this forum, they most certainly do respect honesty.

I think many people worry about MA's response to their posts. I guess the concern is that MA will 'punish' individuals that they see as negative with, for example, poor loot.

They also see that this forum has a number of members that are linked to MA (officially or unofficially), that MA Officials read the forum and that the forum has become an key way of communicating with the community/ outside world.

So if your in-game identity is linked to your forum identity then starting a second identity on this forum is perhaps just a sensible strategy to reduce risk.

I don't have a second identity here .... and my experience hasn't been as positive as Peppers

Oh and there are lots of other reasons why people start second accounts on the forum...just thought I would drop in a reasonable idea.

Yes, EF's rule of only one account per person is there for a reason. People creating multiple accounts with intention to post controversial or rule-breaking stuff that they wouldn't post under their own name run the risk of losing their main account.

Speaking as a moderator, its a serious pain in the neck and aside from stirring up flames and generally causing a nuisance, it creates more work for the already busy forum staff. If anyone one has information as to the identity of people doing this please PM 711 about it.

EntropiaForum has several custom add-on systems in place to prevent members from creating multiple accounts. Sometimes, in fact, these safeguards are an inconvenience when members of the same household (e.g. husband/wife, siblings) sharing a computer and/or IP address wish to have separate EF accounts.

Every day, dozens of duplicate and spambot accounts are auto-banned by the forum software. This goes unnoticed by registered members, and happens mainly in the background. However there is a log of all of these registration attempts and multiple-user detections, which admins and moderators have access to in the staff forum. This allows us to check up on suspected duplicate accounts.

Registration from known open proxies is also prevented by the forum software, and the database is updated in real-time, making it even more difficult for those attempting to create a duplicate account.

There are also other tools in place to prevent multiple accounts here on EF, but I will not go into too much detail (don't want to make things any easier for the lamers).

Point being, it is not quite as easy as you might believe to make duplicate accounts, dj. There is a decent chance some of those new members with low post counts that created the recent threads you refer to, have been 'lurking' on EF for some time; many of those lurkers are quite knowledgable about Entropia, and read the forum on a regular basis. Sometimes thier frustrations or desire to share an opinion spur them to eventually create an account and post a rant.

I'm not saying that is necessarily the case here, but it is quite possible.

If you can send me links to the threads you beleive are suspect, I will research further to detect any duplicate accounts.

I think i can say that i'm one of those that does speak their mind when it comes down to it.

I'm quite (cant think of the proper word) against some of the things MA does and i do say what i think about it.

However i do belive MA has the common sence to take it as constructive criticisms and work with it instead of just ignoring it.

if you dont like something one should say it.
