Idea: User-specific smilies on post-page

Hi,

this idea is explained quickly: When you make a post you have a selection of smilies to the right of the textarea. IMO it would be a great idea to show the ones which are often used there. I.e. I never use , , , , but rather , , . Others may use other smilies so that's why I think user-specific smilies would be nice.

IMO there's no need to have a separate configuration option as that list of smilies could be maintained automatically by the forum software. I.e. a cron-job once a day should be more than enough.

Any thoughts, comments, ideas?

Might be helpful, but would be not so easy to add this feature, as it would require additional database work to keep track of each user's preferred smiley array. Such added features require extensive custom coding. As smileys are not a integral part of the EF mission, I believe such development resources are better spent on other more wide-ranging and important features.

My best suggestion to you is to learn the short cuts for your preferred smileys:
