EntropiaForum Maintenance April 24

EntropiaForum will be closed for scheduled maintenance between the hours of 02:00 and 05:00 UTC, Thursday, April 24, 2008.

The forum software (vBulletin) will also be upgraded to the latest version (3.7).

Some very cool features will come to EF with this new software version, including:

Thread Tagging - Tags can be added to new and existing threads by members. Any users who then click on these tags will not only find all threads that have the same tag as the one clicked, but will also contribute to the building of a search tag cloud, which gives users a quick guide as to what has been searched for recently and most frequently.
Thread Prefixes - Threads can now have administrator-defined prefixes to their titles. This will work great in the Trading and Event forums.
Social Networking Features - Reciprocal friendships, public messaging on profile pages, member-created social groups (this will be great for societies)
Member Image Gallery - Separate from the public EF Gallery, the new member galleries will have member-defined permissions, so members can allow only buddies/friends/networking groups to view the images.
Customizable Profile Pages - Allows members to alter fonts, colors, background and borders etc. of their profile page in order to create a more personalized look. Visitor tracking on profile pages will also allow members to see who has visited their profile page.
Anti-Spam Tools - Powerful new anti-spam safeguards to dramatically limit (hopefully fulle eliminate) spam bots from posting on the forum.
