Question: Possible to turn off RSS-feed for globals?

Hi,

basically the thread title gives it away. Today is the first day that I notice the RSS-feed from http://www.entropiatracker.com/ which pops up at the top of nearly all pages now. In my opinion it's annoying.

Is there a way to turn it off?

I hadn't even noticed it until I read your post, but you can bet I'll notice it all the time now though... lol

As for how to turn it off, I have no idea sorry, doesn't look like you can.

i think it would make more sense to move it to the bottom of the page down near the clock. use blue for the color so it resembles in game globals

I tend to agree - while I can see it may be fun to watch for a little bit, it does become annoying after a while (I often have them turned off in game)

Wonder if its possible to have it as an option in user options, tick box if you want it displayed or not...?

That's basically just like in-game. I also found it interesting for a while and then it went down to spam.

Yeah. EU has an option, why not EF?

I hardly notice it, but I would start by adding a line in my hosts file redirecting traffic away from the stats site, and see what happens.
If you have a router, you could also block that site there.

OC, the above might cause undesirable side effect, but then you can always un-do the changes.

I am still experimenting with the styling and layout of the global feed. I will probably include an option for members to disable it in User CP if they desire.

Ticker redesigned, and moved to footer of EF pages.
Also, an option to disable the ticker has been added.
