Help: The problem being an EF 'old timer.'

As you can see by that little Longevity meter to the left I've been around EF for a long time. Recently I decided to become more active in order to achieve 'Senior Member' status.

That is when I noticed the problem.

It seems that I've seen nearly every post possible. Prices are too high - is everyone selling out - MA is screwing us again - selling this - buying that - I've seen them all and posted in most of them.

So how do I become more active when I've already posted my thoughts on the topic in a thread long long ago?

To be sure at times there are enlightening posts. Whenever Jimmy B decides to analyze and break down some aspect of EU it is guaranteed to be interesting. Mom's movies are always worth a watch. Etopia nearly always brings a smile to my face.

But overall, I simply read the title of thread and think, 'haven't we already beat that horse?'

So here is a challenge. Let's try to post about new and interesting things. Topics that invite debate and thought. Let's give those old timers reason to come back to EU day after day.

Please help me to this. Because grinding activity by posting 'gratz on your hof' really gets boring :-)

My activity is ridiculously high!!

I don't gratz a lot - but I do post random thoughts, feedback, rantings here and there - which made my activity rating what it is.

I try to post new and interesting things - but they're so far & few between.

i do enjoy the thought of working on better quality threads.


ive learned over time reading 711's post here and there that many things increase activity level such as:
lenght of post
if you make a thread the amount of responses to it
it you make a thread its rating in stars
blogs have been reported to "not hurt" your activity *very MA answer from 711*
what branch of the forum you post in has effect
and prolly more but those are the ones i remember of top of head ...

Well every VU brings enough to talk about. I'd say log in EU or do something irl if you are bored with EF.

What may be a beating an old horse to you, will be new and interesting to a new colonist. I have quite a bad memory at times and can post things I feel I have posted before.


Cant think of anything, but these bugs introduced in VU 9.3 sure seem new.

Disappearing loot, loot not being able to moved and locking 100? people out hasnt happened in my 2 years in game.

I read alot, way more than I post.

*Just telling you what I get up to, when here*

I get a few pm's a day, so have to answer them, from friends, and being involved with wof.

I post on public forum, but not 'massively' check my stats if you dont beleieve me lol.
I dont even gratz that often, not cos I ignore them, just generally look for something special, 1st hof etc, nice uber maybe, new item.

I also post when necessary, in wof private forum.

I maybe write one blog a month...if that.

I browse my profile, and other's that have left me messages, I post to mine, and theirs.

I may update my album, I also check the 2 groups I have joined.

I hit cp, just to catch up, once done, I hit 'new posts' then read them.. may post.
I check rep messages left, may even respond to them via pm, sometimes not.

That sums it up, when at EF, Im fairly active, and have many things to check out.

Thats my EF life, in a nutshelf..Im busy when here..never bored

and when I am, I go..

But whatever I do, it does seem to affect my activity, because...well, Im very active, usually around the 70% mark lol

Hmmmm, i'm thinking that maybe activity is also offset against longevity thus the longer you've been a member the much harder and slower it is to skill activity, the later on you start. Maybe? Sounds logical.
