Anshe sell shares to the community (for well over the ammount hte bank is worth)
Anshe dumps the project and leaves with her income...

I dont use personaly the bank system in EU (havent had the need for it yet) and i really hope that she just stoped paying for the forum (thats why it has been removed) and her service in EU will continue ...

I still use Anshe Bank as a saving account - I haven't used the ingame bank for ages though. That all still seems to be working fine, I made a deposit last month I think . I haven't tried to withdraw lately tbh, but I have faith in Anshe, her rep is too important for her to ruin it with this.

I suspect that Anshe, and the other bank owners, are just not getting very much return from thier investment (at least not the return that I have no doubt MA promised them ), and are probably just not willing to spend much time on something with no reward.

Hopefully things will pick up with CE2

(personally, if it had been me who bought a bank, I would be in court right now sueing the crap out of MA. They sold 5 people 5 very big lemons )

IPO raised a total of 300k peds afaik?
She paid more for the bank right?
She is required to have 1million peds ingame as long as she owns it?

If something like that were to happen it would create an uproar and would be posted everywhere on the net within hours of discovery, successfully f*cking up her reputation online forever (lets not forget her main business is in SL, if people were to loose trust it would cost her ALOT more than whatever she spent in EU so far in many ways).

A guess would more likely be that because banks still lack alot of functionality and apparently isnt exactly a "good business" atm, that she simply slowed things down a bit, doing the business she can ingame with the way banks are atm and waiting for better times/hoping MA do something to make it possible for banks to create more revenue?

But yeah, an official comment would be nice, speculation is never good.

Yes i agree with you both that Anshe has no interest in screwing people over but im just curious why close the EF section without any notice to the community ...

Leaves a bad impression ... once she's there then she's not ...

Big rep follows her from SL but doing something like that leaves me to wonder if i would entrust her with my ped ... :P

Would be nice to hear ... "I will close the EF sponsored section because ... blablabla thx all for posting". A statement like that would leave a much better impression than just dissapearing all of the sudden

MA didn't make any such promises, but ofc buyers expected to profit from their investment.

I came very close to buying a bank and was an underbidder by not a great deal of money.

MA made no promises. The information regarding banks was on the web site and we all had to take a view.

Regarding the collateral. The terms said that the collateral had to be there on the day of opening and after that it could be witdrawn, but without money left in no loans could be made; I therefore doubt whether AB has that much money left in the game - depending upon the level of activity it might even be 100,000 ped or less !

Hi, our forum subscription here has run out while we prepared for our new portal site at http://www.anshex.com.

The new portal is still password protected as we are testing and fixing some bugs this week, but you can take look at some of the first features and enter it with anshex/anshex2008 if you like.

Banks in Entropia in general have not been meeting expectations sofar. Everybody hopes that the updates later this year (new planets, graphics, space travel etc) and hopefully some new features for banks coming from Mindark will change this. Of course our bank is still open and people use it all the time.
