I have discovered a bug on EF.
When i post a message with a link say www.idosunrider.com and have automatically parse links in text enabled every thing seems fine... however when i go to edit that message with the edit button the url becomes this: http://www.entropiaforum.com/forums/...dosunrider.com then i have to go in go to advanced edit take a way the EF preamble of the url and save ... that way i get my url back to what it should be ... Anyone else expiriencing this? Best Regards Ido Sunrider |

I think the "insert like" window was changed recently, maybe its a bug, gonna test it anyway :
www.idosunrider.com no problem in both normal and advenced edit. Last edited by byubi; 06-10-2008 at 08:51. Reason: testing link |

when I quote your message i see [ URL = "http://www.idosunrider.com" ] www.idosunrider.com [ /URL ] with tags ... it seems you just used the "add link from the top of the menu rather than just typing the www . smth . com in your text and have it auto parse it when it autoparses i see [ url ] www.idosunrider.com [ /url ] in my code |

edit: i used the "add Link" button. if you just write a link (www. 0à<*# .com) when you click post, [ url ] and [ /url] are added automatically Last edited by byubi; 06-10-2008 at 09:13. |

It will most probably work if you use the add link button ...
try doing it without ... enable the option to pars links and just type in a www . smth . com address in your post ... make sure the option to parse links is enabled in your default settings that way it will also be parsed when u hit edit ... so it might double parse it or smth ... not sure do this without the use of the add link button |

I can't comment on this particular issue but as you said yourself, it might be related to not including http:// in front of the URL. I seem to remember it being the case when I was learning html on my own a while ago.
Try the URL with http:// and see if it works. |

What I can tell you ... is that I've had an issue in my featured storytelling subforum with a sticky thread. I have tried many times to edit my video list sticky thread, but it won't let me "Go Advanced" ... AND ... even when I add a new video with a link in normal edit to the thread, it won't update and just hangs. I've had this going on for some time now, and have brought it to 711's attention, but not sure it's the same thing you're experiencing.
I just know ... that it's very frustrating, and I can't update the video list. I'm getting behind with listing the videos I've done for 2008 already, so I hope that whatever the problem is will get fixed soon. With regard to ... all the sexy geek-talk going on here, I have NO clue what all that is! ... but it SOUNDS cool. ![]() 711? |
