Do you neg rep people back when receiving neg rep?

Rarely -rep when -repped, if ever.

I get -reps very very rarely. Normally when I do it's because I disagreed with someone, and proved their point invalid, and they could not take either being disagreed with, or proved wrong. (I do try and be polite, but sometimes it's hard not to be harsh when dealing with someone who has the IQ of a rabbit & the sensitivity of a cockroach.)
Then when they neg rep me for proving them wrong I think "well, I knew they were a fool already, what else should I have expected," and move on unaffected."
1 -rep for every 200 +reps is OK by me...

2 of the -reps I had were from people who's reputation was so appalling that it counted as a +rep (IIRC). IE if that person disagrees with you, your post must be OK. Don't know if it still works like that now.

After all, a person is entitled to their opinion, and if their opinion is that I deserve a -rep, they will give it.
Generally, I see it as a compliment. After all, if a racist were to -rep me for sticking up for someone racially insulted that is a compliment, is it not?

I have to admit, I've -repped a few people who have just been plain dumbasses with their -reps, but generally I leave well alone. I haven't given out too many in all my time here, nor do I intend to....

I said usually not, as it would have to be pretty awfully unjustifed to deserve it. I've recieved neg rep only once. But then I think before I speak. That also had the followthough, that if you don't like what I said, 95% chance I don't care

The only neg rep I had, the guy hadn't bothered to read the whole thread, and took 1 post as being too harsh, which would have been fair, if it had been my only post to the thread... I suppose the guy deserved a slap about the head for not reading the thread
