Bigger PM box

Now really, I keep all my msgs, I archive them, move them around, export/save them and DELETE them. But they are less important to manage around, could we get more space? Or maybe an automated message to ask us to make some space...

I suppose it'd be good, but i'm guessing the reason it's not is due to the fact we have unlimted Picture Upload space.

correct me if i'm wrong though, i'm not sure if the PMs would take alot of space up on a server hard-drive, or whatever they're stored on

PMs are stored in the MySql or OtherSql DB. Then usually stored in a file layer, but the usage is residual.

mmm, I'm not the best when it comes to interent tech, and sorry to go off-topic(ish), but let me just try to understand.

So the PMs are stored in the user's computer?

No, they are stored on the forum's server, along with posts. All texts, user details and ANYTHING that is not an user supplied or forum supplied file is stored in the database. It's fast and quiet and can hold tons of data, it gets slower in time if it collects in specific zones, such as 2k messages inbox.

I suppose you could donate some cash to MindBuster and become premium member. Premiums have 500 msg's mailbox storage.

Yea I can definetly relate Vf.

I'm up to 495 and keep on erasing them as they come... but some I can't erase ( well, I can, but shouldn't ).

I agree Mr. Proper, more space for pm's! 500 is just not enough...

That could be a way to increase one's msg box size, I have no problems but I got hit with the message 2 times so far, others don't clean/clear their boxes in time. It actually doesn't cost anything to make them bigger, sorry to say this.
