Not playing EU has everything to do with you whining about having to see ads. The ads are game related, and you would probably appreciate em more if you were actually playing instead of prowling a game related forum, complaining about what MA is or is not doing without even attempting to experience it for yourself.

Personally, I am all for any new enhancements and added services that EF cares to offer.

Though I am indeed not an "active" player, that does not mean I have not logged in or played at all recently, so you are wrong there. Just a very sparse hour here and there. Furthermore, I DO find these events and such interesting, so you are wrong there too. The only 'problem' here (and problem is between quotes for good reasons) is that I principally disagree with him putting ads back when there were donations that took them away . I think it's my good right to utter those things. Furthermore I never said I expect him to change his stance, just that I do not agree. I also fully realise that my stance is not very practical (especially with the changes in user levels coming up etc) but that doesn't make me change my opinion.

As for the EULA, legal/illegal, etc and related points made by me, I merely want to make sure that 711 is aware of these and is sure he isn't doing anything that'll piss MA off since that would be bad for EF.

And yes, expanding, adding features, etc is in general a good thing. I haven't seen a rule anywhere stating that I have to agree with all of them though, nor that I'm not allowed to speak out against it if I do not.

Kind of steep? I disagree; compare to some other options for advertising EU events:

EU in-game ads: a typical 30 second ad to run for 7 days with decent exposure (dynamic probability) costs 150 PEDs or more. As mentioned earlier in this thread, while the in-game ads reach the entire EU community, they are also less interactive, and offer less design flexibility.

Old EF Ads: Based on the prices MB told me were charged for the old month-long banner ad campaigns on EF, the new Adspace ads are less than 50% as expensive, despite having more visibility (on more parts of the forum, larger banner size). Since you were one of those who purchased the old-style campaigns, you can confirm this.

All in all, I believe the prices are quite reasonable. In order to promote the new ad system, I will offer a 20% discount until Jan. 1st:

• 3 Day Ad Campaign - 24000 EFD
• 7 Day Ad Campaign - 48000 EFD
• 14 Day Ad Campaign - 88000 EFD

well.. I cant predict how EFD value will change, thats pretty much in your hands
30k efd for 3 days is ~100 ped a day though going by the last efd auctions wich is moreless what an average LA can bring in. Maybe you could add some options to buy part in the space? as in 1/10 views or something? That might enable smaller buisnesses as shop owners and such to buy their little adspace.

You say you intention is to make EF better for everyone, so why not make this available for other people than me, neverdie, deathifier and some other privileged warants members? Should the interest be too great you can always increase price gradually later, or implement quotas.

Although I realise these money don't go directly to you since you do the EFD thing I'm already donating $100 a month to this forum. I don't see me paying 200$ more a month for some adspace.

Akoz, your "donation" gives you a sponsored subforum which results in very high visibility for your land areas. A payment for services received is not a "donation."

I agree that the ad system should be available to as many EF members as possible, while retaining the quality of the ads. Many other people and groups pay much more for in-game ads than just you, deathifier and warants members. So this pricing structure should not exclude them, as they are already paying higher rates for in-game ads.

I do support a pricing model that allows many EF members to have access to the EF adspace ads. Based on the feedback I have received from potential advertisers in this thread and via PM, I have adjusted the pricing structure as follows:

• 3 Day Ad Campaign - 15000 EFD
• 7 Day Ad Campaign - 30000 EFD
• 14 Day Ad Campaign - 58000 EFD
