If you present yourself with a poor graphic signature, its an aspect of your personality.

Its not about "rather read", but like when someone smiles at you and shows you a couple of rotten teeth, you immediatly feel like that person either:

Doesn't care about self
Is too poor to fix them

Thats why EU clothes are such a success. When you take yourself seriously, and all the extents of your person, you want to make them as best looking as possible.

It shows class, professionalism and commitment. (at least to me!)

It's no coincidence that people with black boots and centurion coats in EU are immediatly looked upon as being pro's, wealthy, and on upper part of EU's global society.

This place may be virtual, and the boxes with avatars as well. But you are dealing and speaking with real people. They will form an opinion about you as soon as you start posting and showing yourself. And visual presentation is one way of them to form an opinion.

So why not take care of that manifestation of your personality?

To finish the post, and back to answering the quote...

I don't give more importance to someone with a great avatar + sig, but my impression about this person will greatly improve. Then after reading their posts, i decide if the image i mentally create corresponds or not.

Even if there were such numbers, dont you think that those with adj-mod membership would have been quoted more, not bc of their little button, but because of their dedication to the forum? After all, only people who intend to use the forum will pay for membership I do assume that some of the most active people will be those with such memberships

when you are newbie, you have no idea about clothes in PE, maybe that orange is newbie, but thats it

the other comes with experience, when you see prices, the centurion coats don't even look really good, its mainly the cash that makes them "interesting"
newbies don't know, actually they look up to anyone without orange
i have to admit, in the "matrix generation" we tend to like black cothes more

but here it is another way, when you read a post as newbie, without any experience, who would you rather trust, big ava etc. or noone at all ?

it looks a bit like "if you want to be heard, rather pay"

next isn't offensive, just to water it down:
therefore, you could sell the biggest bullshit just because you "look good"

They do look good... Black + Red + White is a great combo. And yeah, cash can make things "interesting", but in this case, its not the only factor.

As a newbie, i trusted my senses, not a graphic. I read what person has to say and either agree or not. The reputation system exists for a reason too. In doubt, it helps.

As VV said on another thread... Personal presentation is important if you want to be trusted and heard. And you can improve it here if you get a membership.

Unfortunatly, I have to agree. You'd be surprised how much bullshit people eat, when its sugarcoated lol.

You see it all the time irl (politics, etc), it kinda works the same here.
As shallow as that may sound, its indeed, the way things have usually worked. Just look at the reputation most of the girls in Ef have with self portrait pics on their avatar and you'll see a small example of what im talking about lol

If you don't find the Premium Memberships appealing, they you of course are under no obligation to purchase one. You can continue to use and enjoy the forum as you have in the past with the same privileges and permissions you have had in the past. However, do not continue belittling the Premium Memberships in this thread. If it is not for you, it's not for you; no problem.

You are confusing two different things here. The max number of images in a post is 6 (this is the same for ALL members, including me. This setting is forum-wide and does not depend on usergroup permissions).

The number of images in the signature is dependent on usergroup permissions. However, as I stated in my initial post in this thread, ALL members have the same restrictions on maximum signature size (500x100), so no one has any advantage over another. The addition images in sig feature simply allows you to post a higher number of smaller images in a signature, but always within the 500x100 max sig size.

Also, as I stated in my first post, privileges for registered members have not been changed in any way. The current number of pictures in signature for registered members is the same as it has always been: 3.
