So, it seems, you'll still get benefits from them, even on maxed weapons.

Which makes sense. Decay is decay, and MA wouldn't make sights/scopes useless at some level, because folks would just take them off. Less decay = less income for MA.

Remember, even on maxed weapons you have a % miss factor, which sights/scopes are supposed to improve.
I use them too on my primary, maxed out weapon and always have done, with a kind of "well it must do something" attitude. However I only use the basic ones, and I don't use them on my other weapons (which at the moment seems to be finisher 1, finisher 2, tag 1, tag 2....hope exceeding 50 items in inventory doesn't have any bad effects lol). I'd be more likely to use the higher level ones if I knew what they did, and like a few others I have tried to measure and work out what they do but without any success.

I'm all for leaving some stuff for people to figure out themselves but on this one it seems that the community as a whole hasn't got the foggiest what they do really, and the testing various people have done to try and resolve it hasn't been particularly successful.

Well i counted missed shots as part of the tests in Recoda's thread on the effect of skill mod attachments, and got no difference either way. I was using a relatively high mod %. The only conclusion anybody could draw from the various tests done there was that there really had been nothing proven yet.

My tendency is to assume they do nothing until proved otherwise. Marco could do a lot for the attachment crafters (or not) by clarifying the intent and effect of those attachments.

IMO we should simply be able to see the effect of the attachments on the HA in item info.

This is where speaking clearly benefits everyone. We shouldn't need to interpret, just ask clear questions and be given decent answers. Not a lot of point in a chat like this if all that comes out of it are guesses and a feeling that the whole thing is on hold until CE2 starts up...a long way off in the future.

I was marvelling at the CE2 video earler today while stuck in my refiner and needing to relog to continue ....or was I thinking that these simple and often reported bugs should be priority (and as suggested already ..something we should know is in work being fixed).

Communication with us isn't very high on the agenda or priority list still, that's a little sad since we all want the same thing at he end of the day and are more than happy to assist in as many ways as we can. The Devleopers blog ...how many man minutes would that take, and how much benefit would come from it?

Promoting EU isn't about conventions and a few "Ambassabors"....it's about the whole playerbase and word of mouth (newly renamed with the buzzword "viral marketing").
That kind of marketing is unbeatable ongoing and free. Something that major companies would die to be able to use but can't because they haven't got loyal and immersed consumers. EU has.

Players teach the new guys, make the tutorials, report exploits and bugs...run events..promote and inform via community websites. Help them do that.

Should have been there. Even got numerous questions, wouldn't matter yet until the CE2 update which I don't mind though.
One thing, what is up the tower placed south of Pandora... Hope I see marco to ask him sometime.
