Member Activity Ratings

New information has been added to the member information area in thread view mode:

These two images reflect each member's Activity and Longevity ratings, allowing other members to see at a glance how active active you have been on EntropiaForum, and for how long.

Like everything Entropia-related, the activity ratings are dynamic, meaning that they are constantly being calculated vs a predefined metric, then ranked among other forum members. Just because you are in the Top 20 list today, is no guarantee that you will be there next week without continued active participation on the forum

If you hover your mouse pointer over the images, you will get more detailed information, such as join date, and relative activity level (which is based on several factors including frequency of visits, posts per day, etc.).

Also, there is new page which displays the
Top 100 Most Active EntropiaForum Members.

This ranking page can also be reached by clicking the Activity link just above the Activity meter.

One feature that may be implemeted in conjunction with the new activity ratings is promotion to slightly enhanced usergroups at certain levels of activity. These usergroups would include higher allowances on many forum features (e.g. PM mailbox size, Avatar & Profile image dimensions, EFD store discounts, etc), much like the current Premium Memberships.

They would also include a ribbon below the forum avatar, similar to premium members, moderators, reporters.

I am thinking of two levels of these promotions:

Active Member: Minimum Activity Rating = XX% (TBD, Once the ratings stabilize and we have a good idea of what a proper requirement would be).
Dedicated Member: Need to maintain Active Member status uninterrupted for XX days. (also TBD).

More info will come on extending this feature once I nail down all the details.

Very nice.

I noticed that the tooltip when hovering over the longevity meter is truncated with '...' at the end. Is that browser-dependant?

what browser are you using?

im using opera and dont have that.

Firefox for some reason does not wrap tooltip tags, while IE and many other browsers do. This is an oddity of Firefox I guess, but you are not missing much info, all it says is: EF Opening: Jan 05 (the 05 gets cut off).
