*WARNING* - Very Long Post aka Order a Pizza Prologue This thread contains few of the highlights from my 3 years in PE , EU ... It took me many hours , searching my PC for old pics among thousands of screenies... and my almost 7.000 posts!In the past 3 years of my Entropian journey i've met so many ppl : Some stopped playing , many are still here and there are many more to come. Here i'll post some important , funny , and other worth to remember moments with screenies accompanied from a small story. So that's is how all started ... My few first steps , and there is me "speaking" with the NPCs of the Port Atlantis in the "Arrivals Area" I look around , learn how to run , play with the emoticons ,postures and dancing styles, roaming in the City , the buildings ... What is this place , what are all these ppl buying/selling, how do I shoot things ? So many questions and no manual to learn from ... Someone on those boxes , ( Full vigi if i recall correctly ) looks like he knows what all this place is about. After chatting few minutes in private , I became his disciple. Anderson Captain Andrew was my mentor and we started our first hunt on our way to Billy's TP. He was kind enough to give me my first Axe 1x0 before they get "nerfed" , and with that 5.10 economy back then, and I started collecting TPs on Eudoria and Amethera . I collected all of them in 2 weeks , except Minopolis .. I made it in the hard way , without any armor or TP chip and no one to tell me how ... WHAT a great adventure that was? Me running around in my OJ , exploring new places , getting owned by every mob I couldn't outrun , not money to repair my axe 1x0 ... So I started sweating at Camp Phoenix for next 4-5 months, when the sweat was selling for 3+ pecs! Then came that "magic" moment when standing by the Phoenix TP, I felt the Modified 160 heal on my avi's skin , and i was SO impressed ... That was the moment I realised that I need to learn EVERYTHING about PE , so I can have a Mod FAP for my self. That's when I created my EF Account and started reading ,learning and understanging more about PE and the Professions/ skills / economy. That was back in November 2005 ... and that month was when i've met my best friend ingame John Bigdog Burton ... I'll never forget meeting you bro , out there , on the east coast of Eudoria , you were the only green dot i've seen for hours around ... I was trying to find my way to Minopolis , but i was getting killed all the time. And you , like if we knew each other for years , killed all those Atraxes and Gokibusagis on our way. I was there , stunned from your act of kindness ... Not only you helped my Orange ass to reach Minopolis , but you even opened your BP book and shared with me your extra BPs cause i've told you I was crafting components with my Ores and Matters from my Mining. What a great moment. I'm so happy i've met you Bigdog (BD)... Time passed , and both became stronger avatars and closer friends and shared great moments , like our first global : We got that on our return from the Cornudos hunt , under the shade of the Spiral Mountain , while I was searching for my FAP-50 ... Talking about Bigdog and our adventures in PE , i'll now post a hidden for years screenie ... We've been playing with big Longus back in March 2006 ... The loots were pretty bad and we thought it's good to practice some PKing ... Sorry BD  Click to enlarge This is the funniest PKing i ever managed to have : 1) For killing a much more skilled avatar with a tiny gun 2) because after using the Revival-kill , he came with his Madox IV+Dante and of course.... i don't have that Screenie  Today i don't even have to try PK him .. cause i just know i can't anymore  After a short break in the beginning of 2006 ( because of IRL issues , university and didn't want to deposit again ) decided i wanted a change for Demonikos . I had a great time with "The 8" but few months later there was no real "movement" and nothing to do as a SOC, as a team .. so I felt it was time to move. So , I did moved in Manifest Destiny (MD)... ... and the 1st of July, because of Zib , I had the chance to meet Nicole ... He came to heal us on a nekid hunt of opalo+105 on Warriors and Troopers ... Yes back in 2006 all laser amps could fit on Opalo , or even m2100... And that night was special not only cause I was able to hunt big mobs naked , but i even unlocked Serendipity... Ty so much Zib & Nicole ... That was a GREAT adventure i will always remember! My LB skilling was ok but i couldn't go on with the expensive Axe 2x0 and Katsu Honor .... I've stopped skilling Long blades after unlocking MDA and MA and that was when I became "Opalo hunter" . It was the famous "Opalo Era" .. when you could see Opalo teams vs Aliens in CP , VS Spiders , big Atroxes and Falx. In 7th July 2006 , there was the Egg Event with Feffoids going on and i was very excited . So I PMed Lykke and we went out in search of the egg .. This was our only Hunt together but we had great fun , haven't we hon? In the meanwhile I kept skilling and hunting with my opalo+105 while Mining , when finally , in 20th July 2006 i got my biggest Uber and the rare TB gloves all the same day : After that lucky day , exams and summer vacations came and i missed PE so much ... But on my return in September 2006 i couldn't play due to more exams and some PC problems ... On 7th of October 2006 there was a fantastic , superb and unique Dance Event. Was the first ever for me .. but I actually won the Best Dancer Prize after 7+ hours dancing in the TI Castle!! Click to enlarge Very active again , back in action I travelled to CP for first time ... just to understand how hard it is to hunt aliens ... but at least I had some good time with the female dancers   Click to enlarge 1 week later on 27 October 2006 i joined the Team of Greek friends for an Opalo hunt against Spiders and Atroxes .. 1 Screenie = 1000 words.... but i'll add few more: It was SO MUCH FUN! Click to enlarge Next weeks when i login I keep skilling and mainly hunting Solo or with RexE ,we explore Eudoria and Amethera and i show her interesting places and hunting grounds ... On 15th January 2008 I meet in real life with Ron Ronny Kovich ! That was a great idea , I felt so strange to meet someone IRL, that I only know from the game . Was so much fun for both of us , to talk about EU , economy, equipments and real life not in PMs but at a cool cafè , sitting comfortable and enjoying our drinks!  After 30+ hours of video editing and to celebrate my 100 EF achievements , my first video is released on 2 February 2008... only few ppl comment and gratz after 700+ views so here is the thread, cause for me have been a big effort and I want to share it with all the EU comunity : -= 100th EF Achievement - My first EU Video for my 2.5 years in EU =- A few days later i receive my biggest UBER loot Ever ... and is not from a Tower or some Uber loot while hunting ...is the X-fire Event gift : Total value 5k peds -= My BIGGEST UBER so far ... X-fire Gift =- With all those peds I finally buy my Ghost ,and my 5b plates full set ... But Greeks United is not the SOC it used to be ... many things change ... and 2 week ago , in the first week of June and after talking with Echo aka Beacon Queen ... i became the newest nAn Soc member! I have a fabulous time in nAn already and here is the best proof IMHO : is yesterday's nAn Hog hunt! Epilogue

A wonderful story, Nick. It's truly amazing, when we look back, how this silly game is the seed which produces another branch on our "Tree of Life"---how a 1 second decision (...and a 2 hour download
) can truly effect change in our lives. We've never met in-game but I feel I know you well here on EF and I must say, it's always been a pleasure reading about your exploits, be they good or bad, and I hope to enjoy hearing about them for years to come.A HUGE gratz to you, my friend, for 3 (hopefully) well-spent years! PE and EF are far richer because of it! (grrrr...."must spread reputation....blah, blah, blah...") It'll get to you eventually, mate |

Exploring The Universe

VERY nice post Hon ... I really enjoy reading about someone's travels in this universe, and how they might even relate to some of my own. I've been in EU over 3 years now, and JSA is celebrating it's 3 yr anniversary on Wednesday this week, so I know just how much history you had to pull from in order to make this thread.
We met a long time ago ... and you're a special friend, so I hope you continue to have memorable experiences that you share with us in the future. *Dammit, I have to spread more purple love around!* |
