before you judge, and obviously dislike it, you might speak with my disciples who finished, and the ones i have currently first before start with negative comments

i spent most likely more time at the newbie arrival zone than most

spend days(accumulate hours) in tp runs

spend hours in explaining stuff(what to do, how to do, eco, etc.) to disciples (official and unofficial) and countless newbies, wrote a guide which i still update (135 pages now or so)

call it whatever you want

we met 1 time ingame til now, and i think i was the one who helped you against a bugged atrox east of Sakura (its some time ago, i doubt you remember), but i do, since i read your name in another forum, and you seemed to have valid opinions based on experience, so the name i kept in mind

and you honestly dare to tell me you are able to judge after 1 meeting which was ages ago, with around 4 exchanged sentences
without meeting me EVER again, nor speaking with me

First of all, that is one of the risk of posting in a public forum: you will probably have replies, ones you might like, others you might dislike. I don't judge and rly don't care how -you- play the universe, but allow me to have my opinion on such sensitive matter and stand for it.

It is very possible that you might have helped me east of sakura, I did one or two mining runs there in goblin days. If is about november-december 2005, it is possible. If this helps you, I shall agree you helped me even against a daikiba young.

You worked well with your guide, is very good for starters. I wrote one too, which at its time had its usability. However, EF search can't go back more than 1 year, so you'll probably not find it, since the EF avatar was reseted too.

Because you worked with that guide and I happen to know what that means, I always held myself back from commenting anything in your direction.

I tried in my lifetime ingame 3 disciples. Two finished succesfully, the third I kicked away when I took a break ingame (suspected it of scamming too, ain't of topic here).

Both disciples I had (the third I don't consider), consumed so much of my energy and time that these days I hold myself from taking another disciples. From my point of view it is impossible to have more than one, ok two disciples at a time. More than that is just hoarding. For me, you're exactly the cathegory of menthors who hoard tens of disciples at a time in hope of some nice reward.

In truce, if you tell the basics of QWASD and how to aim at a daikiba, you do your duty in explaining a newbie how to walk around in the game.

But mentorship is different. Mentorship is first of all about building a human relation with the other person. And taking care of him/her at each step. You cannot explain the principles of hunting to two different persons in the same time. Physically you can't. They'll have different answers, expectations, questions, etc.

Yes, I had two disciples, but both of them are active as I write here, both of them going over 1 year of gaming and still sticking at it. I take pride in considering that I did my part of duty in their "addiction".

To give you an idea, of my 5-6 hours active ingame, all of them were occupied with partially doing my stuff and a pm open to my disciple explaining various things. Especially the second was a pest, but it did worth, as how he evolved.

From this point of view, I completely disconsider the mentorship you do. I usually don't comment on achievements, anybody cand post whatever, but mentorship is one of the most delicate aspects of the game, for me.

I don't care on the image which I create now for me, I don't care what you or your disciples or anybody else might think. I just want to state my opinion on this matter. It is on my chest since I saw a screenshot from you, here on EF, with some 20 or so disciples at same time. THAT is not mentorship.

And one more thing: mentorship/discipleship only begins. It never ends.

the guide was written basically to explain 90% of most common questions without having me to type it over and over again, so i can go into more detailed things and explain more interesting things than the basics

and yes, i have several disciples at a time, although, parts of those know the game pretty well already (one wants to graduate in conc with sweating ) so they don't have many questions anymore really, and if, they know they can ask me anytime

when i take new disciples, i often take 4 indeed, and during a run to usually atlas haven, i explain the basics, like scammining prevention etc
that way i can cover more explanation for more ppl at once, which is needed

i might also add that those 25 disciples i had over around 1-2 years, and after around 1 month you know pretty exactly enough about EU/PE ^^

I might not be the kind of nanny mentor you seem to be, holding a disciple on his hand every minute, but as soon i am asked, i will answer, or leave everything behind to go on resue missions of stuck outposts

i don't just "hoard" them and hope for a better gift, i explain more than just the basics and give help over time
to several disciples, that is for sure

but as i said, you don't seem to have spoken with any of the finished ones yet, who might tell you if they think i don't give them enough attention


i don't run around the NAZ and simply add ppl and leave them where they are
