What is the best armor upgrade after goblin with 500 evade skill? I know alot of people use Shogun but is shogun really that great for a lower lvl player? or is Rascal a better choice? I know that Ghost is better for when you have more evade skill.

Shogun is wonderful stuff Even protection against stuff like smaller troxies and a host of other stab/cut/impact mobs - AND it has some bot protection as well. A great all round armour. As you get better, chuck some precific plates on it for bigger mobs.

Perfect for place like Orthos West Mound.

Rascal is ok too, but is biased for Impact protection, great for Argos.

i would say rascal, because it has a low tt.
the best chose is to buy both, if you can afford a shogun you can afford a rascal too.

Why go for a lower TT armour? It will lose optimum protection faster.

I have recently started again from scratch after chipping out some time ago & i went str8 into a set of shogun with 2A plates. Absolutely brilliant for what it is, costs nothing & very versatile.
My evade was the same as yours but i have chipped up to 2k so i can go hunt bigger mobs from time to time without paying thru the nose in the decay department.
With my previous Av i strated using Ghost at around 1000 evade & got absolutely caned at the repair terminal.
Go the Shogun it will be of use to you for a long time to come.

Shogun is perfect mate. I repair my armor after about every 200 ped hunt, done in bursts. It's cheap and you can take on alot of mobs with it. I've used it for my first 6 months and am finally buying ghost tomorrow. Shogun will serve you well! Good luck.
Oh yeah, forgot, you'll take drones 1 and 2 easy with shogun. 3 and up will depend on you hung

I agree that Shogun is a good choice. However, I would also like to add that you shouldn't get rid of your Goblin. It gives more protection than Shogun against 100% Impact and Acid mobs, so having a set of each is a good idea.

Depends on what you hunt, i have built up an array of armor so far.
I use
Kobalt with 2A for Fefoid
Gremlin with 5C for Drone (only cause I cant afford Vigi yet)
For the smaller mobs I still find that Goblin with 2A is the bom.

I still use my Rascal and Knight 90% of the time I hunt.

Rascal is good for mobs like Argo/Bery etc.
+6A it's great for most Drones and small Warriors.
+5A it's great for Ambu amongt others.

Knight is perfect for small Trax and Trox.
+5A for mid-size Trax/Trox.
+5B for bigger Trax/Trox (Trax Guard-OA/Trox Prov-Guard).

With these 2 armours and 3 sets of plates there's not much I can't take.

What mobs do you currently hunt, and plan to hunt in the future?

Shogun is the easy answer though.. good stuff!
