Funny enough, gnome is heavier and has less durability than rascal. But, it does have 5 less protection, which does make for better eco. 1.803 vs. 2.266 avg decay against hunters with 5As. However, that also translates to avg. 40 dmg, vs 35 w/ rascal/5A (25 for rascal +5B). (#s based on Entropedia, of course) It's great you can hunt w/ that setup. Your good evade skills and decent dmg/sec weapons let you take advantage of less armor. However, I tried to stay as close to 25 avg. dmg. for this list as possible, so I had to list rascal+5B. I already got folks saying the armor I list is too little in many cases already, lol. |

![]() Hehe, not arguing with your choices at all, just adding a couple of thoughts The weight vs durability of Gnome is my only real quibble with it. However, having said that, I'm considering getting Kobold instead (or knowing me - as well!) Slightly lighter, 25% more durability, only 1 more physical protection but the Cold protection is very useful of course. My first thought is that it could prove a very useful armour just for Impact+Cut mobs.As you've gone into much more detail than I have on this matter, I'd appreciate your take on this idea. |

For impact/cut (argo/molisk, etc.) There's too little extra protection in kobold to justify the higher decay over gnome. 1 point protection vs. ~0.1 pec extra decay per hit. As for the burn, it's the exact opposite. 8 burn vs rascal's 12 means 0.3 pec savings for only 4 points extra dmg. Stick some 3b or 6a on and you can hunt small drones almost for free. As for the cold, well... The cold protection is the 1 thing kobold is most known for. And that point means almost nothing except for 1 mob: feffs. Kobold is much more eco then ghost for feff hunting, bar none. However, I've found out that gremlin is even better. With a difference of 5 points protection, you get ~0.6 pec savings. So, the one instance where kobold is the top choice seems to be small drone hunting. Feff hunting, it's great as well, but with cut/impact, I'd say stick to your gnome. |

As you said, kerbs are fairly weak, same with faux. So using goblin to absorb the impact dmg and letting the cut dmg through allows a small amount of savings while increasing total dmg so slightly, that the savings are likely never lost on any extra fapping. You can use the same dmg. leak trick on faux up to prov and molisk youngs, but after those maturities, the dmg/decay #s run dead even on goblin and pixie. |
