High (L) armors - collectors or hunters?

Can someone elaborate whats the point of high (L) armor parts other than collectors item?

Unless there is a reasonable droprate for those part it would be rather useless to use it as a hunting gear no?

Unless of course the parts last years on a daily hunting basis.

You first have to accumulate seven parts for a full set. Are you really going to use in your daily hunting?

Or is the droprate of those parts that high, that you could replace any broken part without a problem?

I don't talk about pricing or markups. This might add another note for those armor being usefull to a daily hunter (no matter how deep the pockets are).

So, collectors items or usable? What do you think?

Maybe both, collectors can have them for the sake of it, hunters would use them more so for the one off hunt every now and then, as opposed to a daily hunt armor.
Then you have things like land grab (if it comes back again), user events, MA events, these armors could been seen as an edge to win, so there is a use for them. I see it as a specialized use not a general day to day use, like if your going to hunt snables you don't use a mod merc, a tt gun would be fine, use the right tool for the job.

L uber armors will be pretty useless unless they drop a high enough rate. The UNL versions wont be effected since they will ALWAYS be the cheaper option in the long run.
L armor ATM only stands to plug those gaps for people with incomplete sets... EG missing shadow feet or bear shins.

L armors a nice "patch that uber armor" fix but unless its dropping high enough theres no real use!

If I'd hunt mobs which requires shadow, I'd prefer to pay X for a full (L) shadow and use Z for ammo. Where Z = price of full shadow ul - price of full (L) shadow

In the option of buying a full ul shadow, Z is stuck in the armour itself.

Is a matter of gaming philosophy and budget.

I'd say more for collectors at the moment, since not enough has dropped yet, I'll reserve my final judgement for when more drop...

Yea, if L armors are not used, drops will be limited, prices will go to inflation, as usual.

But L armors are a good thing if u use it occasionaly.

For exemple, i have full vigi for bots, but i willing to use a full L sparctacus or other for occasional big mob team hunt.

An Unlimited sparctacus is welcome though I i think it can be a real drop in the future. Imagine the guy "ho cool, a sparcatus back strap ! ?! ?????! ?????????? damn, were is the L ????? Ho my god !!!! LOL !!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!"

Hulys last post gave me an idea.

MA could allow rare cases (HOFs) when crafting yielded non-(L)imited versions of items that are normally (L)imited. Granted, the durability might need to drop by a factor of 10, but such HOF items wouldn't even need to have the typically high TT value. Their value on the market would more than make up for it. And then there would be the rare suite of Lich that was worth that crafting effort.

i think Ma assumed the people who paid huge amounts of money for unlimited armor would be happy to fork out less money for something as good as unlimited but is limited in uses
I think their gamble didnt pay off

Im also curious as to why MA being the one who is wanting to push L items is still dropping unlimited items like guns etc...

I think they pretty mcuh just make stuff up as they go along because it really doesnt make any sense whatsoever

Bout have it! Hunters use them daily when hunting, but collectors have them because they have money ans so must have cool Armour with nice stats!

I know i could pay to have supremacy / shadow / chronicle or whatever other high-end armor (L)-version... And i would do it as a collector... So, if anyone of you have a full set of those at 2 ped TT each, i'll get them of your hands at tt+100
