Question: Regular (L) Armour users

Hello all and apologies in advance if Im resurrecting an old subject.

I was just wondering, how many people regularly use L armour and if so, what type and for what mobs?

I know of a few that do but mainly for hunting larger mobs, during events or hanging out in PVP4 pinging their fellow colonists.

I guess Im looking more towards the lower end of the market as with the rarity and high markup on the top-end stuff I just cant see why anyone would use it regularly.

I sometimes complement my ghost with some Aurora parts.

Saves a little bit on the decay bill, and looks fancy

Has a bit less protection, but usually good enough. (and the less protection is also part of the "save on decay")

But besides that, I don't use L armor.

I used 8A (L) plates a long time though, but now I've finally got myself a set of 5Bs

I usually use my bear and change plates around for what I hunt..

I did get a set of zombie (L) to replace the aurora that died on me for the electric protection . I ended up making that my everyday armor saving the bear for larger mobs like on soc hunts. (hopefully now I said this Ma does not nerf the nice slow decay) I do all but the bigger Trox. The Crickets, mid size Atrox, the long stick lookin mobs (name is eluding me atm) Allo, Bristles.. all tank well for me in this armor.

I us (L) plates (8a) continually. It's great not having to reapir. i also use polaris. Damn useful armor. If I could get (L) for 130-140% (or 160% lich) I would use it non stop on big mobs. As for tsktsk and itumatrox, ... well there IS no non-L equivalent...(unless you have vain+sentinel...which simply are not available) and not bad vs opalo of blp otherwise known as ml-35 as well. I have been using (L) plates forever, and as soon as the price drops on those rarer (L) (i.e. when the bp unl. drop) I will use them full time. Same goes for infiltrator - unl bp's drop, then i can pick the stuff up for 150% since the components are TT now

(L) armor has some great advantages - i don't need to change from my current set up of jag/phantom+8a if I want to go hunt wargen+trooper 08's, for example.

I used Pixie + 5a and shogun + 6a and i planned to buy a ghost or a gremlin, my bro tested ghost and we saw decay was insane, he bought a Gremlin and said this armor is really nice!

but, i dont wanted to buy a gremlin, market for Male ava is insane... i bought an Aurora (M,L) with Orca shoes.

this armor is really good, between gremlin and ghost, i got it since 2 weeks now, I hunted for 2,5k+ peds with and + 5a and decay is like 3~5 peds for each parts.
I mainly hunt atrox young to dominant, feffoid, ambu, allophyl, drone and i did some hunt on aurli too (take care of kretlin, no acid protection).

at the begining i rarely used it, but now, its my everyday armor.

I advice people to buy it and try it... for me its one of greatest mid level armor.

So it seems that ppl are happy to use L armour?

I would like to be able to use it regularly.

I would like to see more ready access to something like Lich (besides the girly pink bits look) I would be prepared to pay a reasonable price but with one component being metal plate that drops from one of the meanest mobs in the meanest areas in EU then I dont see it happening anytime soon.

How many of us regularly use stuff like Zombie and Aurora etc?

I am thinking of buying a set just for everyday low-midlevel use.

What are the opinions on higher decay + repair and no markup vs lower decay and markup.

P.S. For info - I like armour and I like collecting it, I currently have many sets (3 which are expensive and hard to get) hence my interest in it.
I have always been the type of hunter who overprotects and kills at a faster rate, however as my skills/hp increase I am more tempted to tank the lower to mid mobs either naked or under-protected. (slow learner I guess)

Go for Aurora then, very nice mid-level armor, you can put 5b for a better protection, 6a to kick some drones.

It look very nice, decay less than a Gremlin or a Ghost and market is nice ~110 to 135% for some pieces.
