What armor would you buy?

Currently , I own two sets of armor ; Vigi w/ 6a and Grem w/ 5b. I was wondering what everyone would recommend for the next armor to be able to survive larger mobs, after these two. I realize it is somewhat mob dependent , but I am just looking for general opinions for all around hunting. Now obviously , peds factor into the equation. Because lets face it, if I had the kind of peds to by uber armor , I wouldnt be noob enough to ask the question "What armor should I buy?" Anyway , thanks for your feedback in advance.

As you no doubt are aware, each set of armour has defence against particular types of damage. You need to match your armour to the mob you are planning on hunting.
For example, there is no point buying a nice semi-uber armour to hunt kreltin, if your armour has no acid protection.

However, bear in mind plates. These can be used to supplement or even enhace the different protections of the armour. If your armour has no acid protection, you could buy acid plates and go for that kreltin hunt

Also, I measure my advancement within EU by my ability to downgrade my armour and take the same mobs. This negates the cost of 'progressing' to the next price bracket of armour and maintains the challenge for me.

Ghost is a logical step to take. It is cheap, has great protection for the price and if supplemented with 5b, it can be as good as Boar / Jag for some mobs.

If peds were of little issue, I would chose Boar. Although the price has risen sharply over the past year, it still offers protection comparable to armours that cost thousands of peds more (Boar + 5b is almost as good as Angel...And Jag (10k ped more than Boar) is just Boar but lighter (and with one or two more points of protection)

Anyhow, I know that wasn't much help, but something to think about ...

I would go for the Boar. Reason is simply that the price will rise, so it's a good investment. Unfortunately a full set costs more than +10k .

If you want to be cehap, just go with Ghost + 5B plates. Or, in worst case, Shogun+5B, but I wouldn't recommend this .

Going to have to jump on the Ghost train as next most logical. If you can afford more, I'd recommend Phantom.

I consider Ghost or Phantom the best all-around affordable armors. Adding plates as necessary of course. Boar is right up there with them too.

yeah Phantom is really nice but nem is pretty eco so :P

Definetely ghost as a nice addition to your armors. With these 3 sets you can be pretty ready for everything and you can focus on skilling up and getting ATH for next armor upgrades

Ghost with 6a's is a great all around armor setup - change plates to 5b good for impact mobs.

well everyone states that ghost, cheap good all round protection but there is also bear or boar, i was going to get a set of bear myself but when i found out that there was only like a handfull of bear (f) shins around i knew that was a bad idea and boar was out my price range at the moment :/ so i bought Nem lol and have 5b and 6a its good and eco for what i hunt.
