I was wondering today about whether it's technically selfish or selfless to give up one's life to save oneself. It's not the first time such semantic quandaries have beset me since I left the corp lab. My fascination with languages tends to bring up those cases or other language trivia. For example, I was reading through an old Espaņol text recently and discovered that the verb for "hurt" used to be "doler" before the 'l' was dropped...
