This item is busy.

No it's not.

I've mentioned this a while ago, but damn. Those yellow messages are more annoying than a screaming 5 year old little brat sat next to you on a long haul flight. I've recently been hunting BIG warriors and troopers in the slim hope of looting a coin. However, the task is made somewhat harder by this text of doom.

Let me explain. More often then not you end up with three or so robots on you doing about 20-30 damage. So obviously you'll need to heal. As your health reaches 50% you hit the FAP key and then....

...finally! The same happens when you try to switch back to the gun. But by this time you've already taken the same amount of damage you just healed by. So you try and switch back to FAP again, but before it even equips, you're as dead as... well... something not alive.

The item is busy. Busy doing what? Morris dancing? Mowing the lawn? Filling out the crossword in the newspaper? Busy doing everything under the bloody sun except what it's supposed to be! Hell, I could be busy all day at work picking my nose or something, but that's not doing my job is it? If I took my FAPs attitude to work, my career would be very short lived.

What if we had this message in real life? You have an accident and crawl to a phone to call an ambulance, only to be greeted with "Item busy and cannot be accessed". Or you're marooned on a desert island, but you can't eat the coconuts there because they're busy. Yep, you'd be screwed. Equally so in game.

Many people play video games as a form of escapism - to live out a fantasy or live another life. Now please tell me what kind of freak at MindArk has a fantasy of yellow messages stating things are busy? And then furthermore decided it had to be shared with everyone else? Marco, Frank, Simon... if anyone at MindArk reads this, find that person and then make their dream a reality. Ensure they are unable to do anything for an entire day. If they need the toilet, tell them it's busy. If they want lunch, don't let them eat and say the sandwich is busy. And if they complain or ask for help, say you're "busy" ignoring them. I swear, before the end of the day you'll end up psychologically destroying them.

And if that person ever has anything further to bring to the design team, make sure it's just silence.

Anyway, earlier this week I got my second best ever unlimited weapon drop:

(The first being a Justifier Mk2). Okay, so this is only a Tasmo. But it's not really that often you get a nice little drop like this - even if it is rubbish. Love seeing items in loot, and would rather get a 15PED Sollomate Tasmo than 15PED worth of oils. Its just that little sense of joy and wonder as you hover your mouse over the item to see what you got.

Worst culprit of making me excited in loot are FAPs. When a FAP pops up in the loot window (busy being looted ofc ), my heart always skips a beat just because there's a one in a trilllion zillion chance its an adj / imp / mod FAP. Anyone else do that? As soon as one pops up, the mouse cursor hovers over it to find out what it is? Come on... be honest!

Also reached the goal of graduating in everything - all weapons, mindforce, mining... pased graduation requirements for all of them. Reason being it adds some variety to the game, other than just doing one thing/profession. And of course a load of easy skills to get total skill count up, not to mention easy health. Speaking of which another goal is nearly acheived. Current HP is 147.75(ish) and so am real close to getting medium health! Problem is it's going up really slowly now, but hopefully should have it by the end of the year.

Next goals are 50 strength / intel, 65 agility and to max the Dragons Breath (L) so I can use it properly

(Excuse the slightly larger images. Just bought two 20" HD widescreen LCD monitors, so EU now runs at silly resolutions.)
