Destiny or just luck?

After quite some time I have finally gotten around to posting in my blog again.
Things have been interesting for me of late. As some of you might have noticed, I have been quite sucessful in my noob crafting efforts. Up until now my main focus has been on hunting. It was only by chance that I decided to give crafting a try. Of course I was slightly influenced by the ATH that MS9 managed.
It makes me wonder in MA does define your professional destiny when your avatar is born, I can see baby avatars passing the MA "profession allocator" on a conveyor belt. The MA guy has three stamps, "Hunter", "Crafter", "Miner", and he just randomly tags each baby avatar as it passes with one of the stamps.
Maybe we all have the profession we should be doing already coded into our avatars, we just need to find out which one it is. Those that have extremely bad luck while hunting might just be going against the natural grain of their destiny.

Know what? ... funny as it seems, this is a discussion we've had in soc at one time or another
 ... not sure you were part of those discussions though, and why it makes your blog entry even more hilarious ... but plausible?I just know ... that when hunting wasn't working for me any more, I picked up on mining, and I was unstoppable, although I never got a tower, nor a really big hof, BUT ... I did manage to get 5 spacecrafts ... no beacons though.  Then ... when mining fizzled off, that's when I took up crafting, and bingo ... I've been on a roll ever since, except for the loss last night that was pretty sizeable, so this may be the next sign I'm getting that it's time to start the cycle all over again ... who knows! However, that won't happen until I take my OA-101 BP to 100.0 QR. I'm at 95.8 right now, so not too far to go. I'm happy for you Hon ... and I hope that this new-found profession pays off for you, but the best advice I can give (which I really don't feel is needed), is to not be too much in the zone that you lose perspective ... it can grab you quite easily. However, since I think I know you well enough, I don't think you'll have an issue with this whatsoever. CRAFT ON!!   |
