Another month on Calypso has confirmed to me something I always knew: I'm not cut out for business. My network and knowledge of the market have grown, and I do a reasonable volume of trade, but in the end I always give my sellers an overly generous break. I also have been acting as a ticket agent for Freyr's hangar. There is renewed interest in space travel since the new asteroid resort opened up last month, but the people I do business with are not really the type...

It has been a month since my last log entry and I have been feeling a compulsion to continue the tale. Calypso is becoming more of a home lately and I am finding ways to indulge my inquisitive nature. I started dabbling in electronics manufacturing to see the other side of the process I ate, slept, and breathed for many months. I have also joined a society.

I am hopeful, but not optimistic, that societies will limit the control of the corporations...

The name on the placard of the health department office was eminently familiar, a splash of the familiar in the unknown world all around. I felt a rush of relief seeing that she was still in a job, but held onto my resolve to stay incognito. There would be plenty of time to reconnoiter; I slipped back into the throngs.
