Yet another Noob's Blog. 10/8/08

Well I'm new here and just recently started in this wonderful world called Entropia Universe. Man what a weird first few weeks its been. I honestly don't know where to start but I'm starting a blog today to kind of put my process too paper so to speak. =)

Anyway last week was the first time I deposited. I started with $30 and went from there. I already had an opallo and a full set of pixie besides the feet.. I know I know. Why was I missing the feet? I dunno blame my mentor. =) But anyway so now I have nearly 300 ped and didn't have much of an idea besides what I have learned first hand. What people have told me in game. And what I had at that point in time learned from websites like these. (And I must admit this one has so far been a great wealth of info. Cheers to you guys) So I ended up getting a full suit of gnome and randomly grabbed some shogun pieces on the way. And I went out hunting. I swear I burn though so much ammo and amps. I didn't want to buy an a101 amp for the opallo when I figured I can get 10 to 12 of the lil shear amps. The limited ones. And this was working ok I guess but I really didn't like the Opallo. I felt like a storm trooper and I swear I probably had the aim of one. I couldn't hit shit besides the ground the first couple days. I didn't really care for sweating as I found it a waste of my time. But oh well I kept at it. And ended up dwindling all of my Peds by my second week. Between testing out different weapons (I tried laser pistols, shortblades long blades and powerfists.) I decided to read up on Entropedia and learned tons.. Now between that site and this one I think I have a nice knowledge base.

So now I'm onto my second week and this time I felt more serious and deposited $40 and went at it. Picked up a full suit of rascal. I thought it would be nice to use before I can afford and or fill out my suit of shogun. And at the same time I decided I liked BLP weaponry.. What a surprize! Here I am a guy who tried laser pistols and carbines going to BLP.. So yeah that wasn't cheap =) But I'm in love now with my Isis CB5.. Between amps and ammo I was already down in the hole so I ended up deposited some more. (I'm not rich but I'm not poor. So I consider it an investment into a hobby. Just like my friends buy a new turbo for his car or something)

Ended up trying my hand at crafting and am loving that too.. Ugh. This game is really gotten to me at all ends. Here I am thinking "Oh yeah I'm just going to stick to hunting cause I like to kill things!" Then I read a post about what crafting hunters can do cause of our common loots and it sounded like a nice idea instead of TT'ing some of the junk. I'll just craft with it! Wohooo! Bah I ended up blowing like 100 peds on some muscle oil.. =) Well now I like crafting and Oh God am I staying away from mining in hopes that I would probably love that as well..

I ended up buying two laser sights and a scope. At some time or another. I see they don't decay much at all and figured they were a sound investment. I'm still not 100% if the skill increases affect my ability to use the weapon or how often I will gain skill increases or what not. But I figure at worse I can sell them again with only decay as my loss.

I know this was a long winded blog entry but as my first entry I just wanted to show you where my head has been at these past two weeks and will update this hopefully every day I'm at work. That way you can see how this depositing noob advances in this very challenging game. Now that the ground work is laid I can start sharing my ideas and thoughts about the game and how I have dealt with the many things facing us as people of Entropia Universe. Ciao!
