I bet you always thought about what is going on in a nuns life .. well, here it is! All of it - uncovered - from dancing on the tables, to begging on knees for Lootius' protection, playing around with the goth candles! And of course I add a little extra from the other Universe as well

A friends sorrow

My best friends mom died yesterday. First she called me and cried out saying, that the doctors gave her less than 24 hours now.
It was horrible to hear the sadness and frustrations in her voice. 20 min. later I got a sms that her mom passed away. I just so much feel with her and her family. I wish I could have been there and hold her when it happened. She must have felt so alone.
Her mom was very sick though and had been for years. They found a tumor in her head some years ago - cancer. She got cured but last year a new tumor appeared in the other side of the head. She's been in and out of hospitals, on ton of medication and drugs to keep her alive and stabile and pain-free...
She is resting now - she got peace! I know my friend knows that. It's just been such a hard time for her. She has been her mothers mother for a long time - and now she lost her.
I don't really know what to say. I think that no matter how prepared you are - you will never be enough prepared when you loose someone close to you. And even though I know my own parents had a long and very good life, now both are nearing 80, time will come when you have to say goodbye. The worse part is not death itself - but how and under which conditions you will have to say goodbye.

Thanks Dom,
Went to the funeral yesterday. I never seen my friend like that - she nearly fell when the priest put the soil on the coffin and she cried and cried It was really tough, but I'm glad I was there. |
