Where my head is at ...

It's no secret, that VU 9.0 even brought my purple ass out of the virtual woodwork to share my opinions, and while I'm not backtracking with regard to a few things that sent me over the edge, I have come to terms with at least the new avatar look. I've managed to get my "BarbieStar" looking a little older, but still a much younger version of the previous MS9. I'm hoping that future VU's will give us more of a uniqueness with regard to hairstyles, or animated facial features that we lost, but perhaps the CryEngine2 will take care of that ... one could hope.
The avatar look and other things aside, the one constant that always kept me engaged in EU was not only the social aspect, but the unlimited creativity potential for designing your own fun. Anyone who knows my history knows that I'm all about fun, and that I like writing about it from a picture storytelling perspective. Now I'm doing videos, and hopefully getting better at it with practice. It's not for everyone, but there's a nice following with those who appreciate and enjoy the efforts.

This past weekend, I was invited to be a judge at the "2 for 1 Fashion Show" event, and had a wonderful time despite its 6 hour length. It was well organized and executed in spite of a few glitches. I did a thread and video about it here, but our Staff Reporter Pinky also did an excellent job on her Front Page story here. I'm a big fan of Pinky's reporting.
After all is said and done, and despite my personal frustrations with a few things post-VU 9.0, I'm thinking in retrospect that it wasn't fair of me to hastily pull out of writing for the EU Blog. I may not like certain things, but I still love my virtual playground and what it offers in the way of a creative platform. Therefore, you will soon see my bio and blog entries at the Entropia Gateway blog site. I previously submitted six entries, but may have to rework a couple of them since the pics chosen were pre-VU 9.0. I'm waiting on word about that.
So I'm rejoining my blogging buddies, and will be bringing you and the outside world an EU perspective MS9-style. Since I have now taken up videos, I will be offering more of those as well, and getting more involved in other events and activities in EU to give them the exposure they deserve. Not everything makes the Front Page, and I feel there are player-designed events that are quite creative, and should be recognized.
Other EU-related things are going on, but I'll save that for another blog entry. I'm going to try to make my entries short, but no promises ... however, I will work on making them more interesting.
