Schizoid scribblings: Lootometer

My motto as a hunter has always been 'I don't do economy!'.
Basically I've always put fun first and never given much thought to decay or the most economical way of hunting.
OK, I know not everyone is like that nor can afford to be so cavalier with their peds.
And recently I've had a bit of a cash squeeze in real life coinciding with some dire hunting returns.
In fact the majority of people I've spoken to have complained about their recent loot.
So that got me thinking...wouldn't it be great if there was some kind of graphical 'Lootometer' feature on the EF homepage?
Hunters could post in their average hunt returns as a percentage, choosing from a range of maybe < 20% to 100%+ or whatever and the graphicial feature would represent an average of the posted hunting returns data.
The graphics could take the form of a small icon bar showing a spectrum of colours from dark blue (very bad loot) to dark red (very good loot) and it would be constantly updated as the data added was computed and averaged out.
Another way of displaying the data could be as a car speedometer or even as a weather symbol with a sun in blue sky with a rainbow indicating superb loots
One way to help prevent abuse of this feature would be to limit it to people with good reputations.
You'd only be allowed to make one data submission per day also.
There could be one for miners and crafters also of course.
I guess this could be a politically sensitive project though because if I saw from the Lootometer that today's loot was really bad then I might not even log in to EU.
All the same I really would like to see this Lootometer icon at the top right of the EF homepage every time I log in

Very interesing idea. I will see if I can find a tool to accomplish this, and integrate it into EF

Interesting idea, I like it.
![]() On a sidenote, bad average loots across the board are often a sign of big HOF build-ups, so it's still kinda worth logging in to hunt, craft or mine. Of course you'd be taking an even bigger gamble than usual but with the higher risk comes the higher potential payout. |

This sounds like a very good idea. May I ask also to add a history. I like to collect data and interpret it.
It might be nice to find a co-relation between loots and ATh, or just loot and peak times. I'dd +rep you if I knew how to do that on the blog |
