New case about "Adjusted" mobs
This I have sent today, see this thread:
-----------------------------------------
Hi,
this isn't just a support case, maybe it should get forwarded to the balancing team. I kindly ask you to do as you'll see fitting.
My case:
A VU ago some mobs have become "Adjusted" - i.e. having HP and regeneration rate multiplied.
It was Allophyl, Estophyl, Ambulimax and others.
Last VU some more mobs have become "Adjusted" - mainly Atrox, Maffoid and Feffoid.
There is a difference, and it was a very bad move IMHO, let me explain:
Atrox, Maffoid and Feffoid are not only quite aggressive, but are very common over all Calypso.
Until last VU they were a challenge to any young hunter roaming these areas where they'd occasionally spawn, but smaller maturities was in a range to dispose with weapons like M2a, P2a, Axe 2x0. Weapons that would perfectly suit the other inhabitants of said areas.
This has been changed with the "Adjusting". Now these critters are a pending, deadly danger to any new participant completely fit to fight the other mobs in such a region, but that doesn't just has the required Damage/Second to handle any of the newly "Adjusted" mobs.
This means that quite some areas on Eudoria & Amenthera have been made impossible for the newer, not-so-skilled participants, and this might easily influence their willingness to deposit. Add to it that because of lacking drops the prices of basic Amps like a101, a102 etc. have skyrocketed - these new participants really have a hard time now, compared to us older participants. But these are the ones that are supposed to pay for our globals, right?
I have made a thread about on EF, check:
<http://www.entropiaforum.com/forums/hunting/113494-new-players-screwed-adjmobs.html>
Discussion is lively, don't forget that EF is "home of the Ubers" - many participants you'll meet there are ways above the average Joe! I have been chatted a lot in EU about this thread, by people that don't even know what EF is, but that are very unhappy with this change.
In my opinion, backed up by a astonishing large number of approvals, I'd say the change didn't work as intended. I see & accept the reason for a change, but the way it was done seems unapprobate to me. Feel free to read:
<http://www.entropiaforum.com/forums/1396434-post252.html>
about ideas how it might have been handled better. I'm not asking for using these, but maybe they might provide some ideas?
I'm writing this because I'm a long time Calypsonian. I want this virtual universe to succeed. Because I love it. And I feel it's my duty to tell you when you've made a wrong move - but decide yourself! I hope your decision will be in the interest of all of us Colonists!
Have fun, and thank you for dealing with it!

Hope it will do any good.
Have fun!
