CND Hunting/Minig Courtesy and Customs

I don't know if it's just me but I think there seems to be a big difference in the way people interact at CND and down on Eudoria.

For instance, I only mine on CND. Every time a green dot appears on the radar, either I am the first to say hi or someone greets me first. A quick exchange is made asking about luck, returns, type of mining/hunting etc. Then, we part ways with a friendly "good luck", "may the hof be with you", etc. If I find myself in a difficult situation where my claim is hard to access due to mob strength, I always seem to find a friendly hunter willing to help me out and, as I have done always, I am more than willing to give them a few PED for their effort.

Not once have I encountered anything opposite (although the ridiculously low reselling prices can sometimes be offensive). I can't say the same for Eudoria. Seems people planetside seem to mind their own business and aren't much for a quick chat. It's not always true but most of the time it is.

Anyone feel the same?

About the mining, I got two theorys.
Either 1. The miner wants info about the dome in order to decide whatever he should continiue or go to another since you might have take the resources.

Or 2. Maybe, and just a thought, since CND is alot smaller than planetside, we kinda get a more closeness, for instance you wont see a guy on planetside as often as in the domes. Most of the ppl that are on CND gather up in one place, CR, wich on planetside you got lost of towns to go in, aswell as there are alot of newbies and, well generarly lot of people

Overall, I like it anyway. Thats why im stuck up here

Yep, that's CND for ya mate. Seems that the way CND is set up to require a larger amount of funds to play with than the planet seems to sort some of the foolish or rude people out.
There are a lot of people (myself included ofcourse) that wish to always better CND, it is our virtual home and we like to keep it that way. Bringing positive influences with friendly miners, hunters and pilots is what keeps a lot of us going. At CND we realize it does us no good to be mean to someone, we will just see them hof in an hour or so and then we'll feel worse.

Seriously, though .. I agree with the previous posts.
CND has the CR, so everyone gathers in the same place and they only have 20 domes or so to roam about.
Much less area to cover than on Calypso, and causes a "closeness" that you don't get on planet.

I'm someone that usually says, "HI GREEN DOT!" on planet or on CND.
ok ok .. unless I'm mining and the green dot drops a bomb ...
Then in soc chat I say "#@$*ing GreenDot miner!"

Anyway, yeah thats what I love about CND.
It's the complete atmosphere of friendly ppl.

Well, I know have to take back all I said. Last night while mining, I saw a green dot approaching. Once it appeared, I gave the standard greeting and received nothing in return. As the dot got closer on the screen, I noticed a bunch of red dots surrounding it. I began to steer clear of it and noticed that the mass of red dots along with the green dot began to follow me. I changed directions and took off like a bat out of hell (I don't usually bring anything but mining gear with me on my runs). Unfortunately, my speed was no match for this avatar and as he continued to get closer, all his little buddies that were attacking him took off after me. I realized my fate and just stopped but got in one last sarcastic remark "Thanks!". Of course, he reciprocated in kind and replied just as I died "No problem ". To make matters worse, he globaled about three times while I was still logged.

So, I take back all I said. Only some of the community is nice on CND. The other half

Well mate, that is CND for you. For the limited amount of time I spend on CND I have the same problem. Where GD seeing you extract your claim, they go in and start a mobs train then drop them on you, or worst yet they see a claim with out any one around the drag a shit load of mobs to your claim. That is the down side of CND, but there also some really nice ppl that go out of their way to help you. It's all depend on the time you play, you may end up with a bunch of ass around or a bunch of nice ppl around.

Doesn't bother me at all. Happens all the time planetside. It was just the first time in the last few months that it happened to me. When in Rome.......

Oh, and I think it was dome 7.
