Suggestions for CND

Here are two suggestions I have for CND (they most likely have to be solved by MA):

First, make ground accessible (for mining). Possibly with exception of a strip around the map to prevent the client from hanging. Problem with mining on CND in domes are two:
As a hunter, I use rifle and I try to aim with my scope, because in some domes, the mobs might be half-hidden on other side of hills and you have to hit the "ears". Then when a carpet-bomber comes along, the ground start shaking and will shake allmost all the time. This makes it hard to hit, unless if you use autoaim. Some hunter(s) have solved this problem by pk:ing any miner that comes by, this solution might not be possible if it's a middle-level hunter against a top-level miner.

As a miner, in most domes you have to run certain paths, typically along the sides of the dome. Either because the mobs in the dome are lethal (daspletors), or because they cause kind of high armordecay if you run though (small trox, merps). Also, because the minable area is small, theoretically (I don't know how MAs mining loot system works, but anyway), if a pro-miner have been in a dome using a big mining amp, it can be likely that if you run in his tracks (50% chance in say daspletor dome), you will run in a cleaned-up track.

Therefor, I suggest, open up the surface. At least, with the most basic stuff (oil+lyst), so a bored miner or hunter can have some variation but running around in domes crowded by other hunters and miners. If there are to be mobs, let it be a low-density spawn that's likely to be found on a desert planet, such as sabakumas.

Suggestion two:
Make an event zone of the middle of the center complex. Just the middle of it - to make it possible for audience to "sit" on the balconies above it and watch, and to run around the zone. This event zone could be used for pvp events. I also suggest a stable keeper there, it could open up for event with pets (pvp with pets as shields?), and also it makes it possible to feed pets during a long stay at CND.

Are you talking about mining outside of the dome and the contained areas? We would need space suits for this to happen.

Hi,
Miners and hunters will never agree on this one.... I say the hunters should be on CP where you can only hunt. Ban all mobs on CND and open up the domes to miners only

Yeaaahhhh.... mobless mining, Christmas has come early

I agree with Scudd.... If miners can't mine CP there should be no mobs on CND to make it more fair. Or we should have one more asteroid with only mining domes and leave CND mixed for both as there are some unique mobs after all.

As for miners and hunters on CND.... There is no PVP anymore, so hunters can't kill miners anymore. I had several nasty moments there when we still had PVP and I am so glad it is gone.....
And no, I didn't drop bombs while other hunted. One time I was killed when I was excavating my claim, second time when I asked a team which just entered if they are going to hunt and if yes I said that I would leave the dome. They "helped me" leave it faster.
Now, when I enter a dome with high mobs like dasps and I see hunters I wish them GL and leave them even when there is no PVP. I mine only when they say I don't bother them and I usually don't stay long in the dome anyway. Quite often I also heal them if they need it.... cooperation is possible, it only needs a little of good will.

But mining works perfectly on CND Whatş the all fuzz about. And secondly U can‚t mine on CP cause MA says so CND is controled by a human CND domes belong to LA owner, he decides what is that earns him tax profit.

The arena has been planned for sometime, and ND has mentioned it quite a bit recently. I would expect to see this sometime in the future for sure.

As a suggestion for CND i would like to see the shops get new teleports, or better still move the teleports that are near auctions to near the shop. This should encourage players to use the shops more and the auctions less.
